I complain about the Sabres as much as anyone, but that's a fine package for Reinhart. If anyone would have said the Sabres could trade Risto and Sam for 2 1sts, a 2nd, a fun player and goalie prospect, we'd have taken it in an instant. - hawk33

We probably could get a 2nd for Vatrano at the deadline too.
Girgenson came up through the USHL and weas doing 49 points in 51 games. Which is almost identical to what Cozens did his draft year, 53 points in 57 games. - Mentalorgasm5
Your stats pull was from the year before Cozens was drafted, in his D-1 season.
Cozens was drafted the year after that, when he had 84 in 68 games.

He doesn't battle on the boards either which is what the Sabres need. No speed up the middle and no battle on the boards, the Sabres passed many times to make him a pillar of their organization and I, personally, don't think they are going to miss him too much. - GilPerreault11
I have no issues with them moving him but it needs to be a good trade
60 point players are important for any franchise.
Especially ones that take a literal beating in front of the net to score the dirty area goals, and that don't miss games

Im not sure what else is involved here -- if anything -- but there's a Cam Atkinson-Jakub Voracek deal being worked on between Columbus and Philadelphoa

Hearing there is some traction on Cam Atkinson to PHI. - Stripes77
CBUS will have to retain a little I would think. That contract is the overwhelming smell of ass in the stall next to you at work. Not the smell of a fart, not the smell of poop, the overwhelming smell of ass.
Yet washed out of the NHL at age 31. - sabresfan69
his biggest problem was that he never used that skill and edge work to drive to the net...the infamous "max-curl" along the half-wall was his downfall as he never had the balls to go to the dirty areas

I will never understand why people criticize and single out Afinogenov when basically that entire team was as soft as custard.
Afinogenov dropped the gloves once and a while, too.
The Sabres only have about 43,550 million on their cap right now which includes Jack and when he is gone that brings it down to 33,550. They are going to have to make some deals for salary because they have to hit the floor and I think it has to be 60% of 80+ million, Dahlin will make up some of that. Goalies will help.
