Obviously, I like risto's hits and energy when I'm paying to see a last place team play. It's fun. Not always good or winning hockey.

I'm probably going to 30 games this year and arizona/ vegas in January/February. Play a young fast game with new kids and develop some winning attitude.

I've never hid from his boneheaded blunders. I've seen enough for sure.
He seems like a team guy, that likes the area, and helped with the younger guys.
Never heard a bad thing about him.

Lots of bad about the bicycle tandem though.

I'm really excited about the direction. It's important that some of these picks hit, but the intent, the vision, and the growing staff talent, is all coming along. We have no choice but to hope Kevyn is The Guy, but he's revealing that he's putting something together that hasn't really been done here. Darcy had a vision close to this, sans analytics, back in the late 90s and into the early 2000's. Collecting (St.) Drury's is going to be the next big step.

So, I would have to believe that by not being traded (so far), that Jack's ego has to have taken a bit of a hit this weekend.

The Sabres (GMKA) set a bar telling teams that this is what we want and what we have determined Jack is worth on the market. You want him, pay the piper.

Teams have allegedly made offers and apparently low-balled what the Org believes Jack is worth. Injury not withstanding, Jack has elite talent (to go with his elite ego).

Doesn't this just substantiate what the Sabres believe Jack is worth? Or, is this more along the lines of GMKA saying, Sorry Jack, but the logo on the front of jersey is more important than the name on the back of yours?

My feeling... You're under contract, you don't like it, pull a Berglund. Otherwise, strap'em on, pull up your big boy pants, and prove to Buffalo why you deserve that "C".

I have no inside knowledge of the scenario, but, and simply for reinforcement, that presser yesterday said "we don't give a poop about you because you don't give a poop about us."

He won't play another game for Buffalo. It's all but guaranteed. It won't stretch into the season and it'll likely be resolved before UFA day. If not, the Sabres will need to eat some real celery.
