I hope Jack stays and Kevin has him honor his contract.
And then he wins a Cup here.
I can dream, right?
We've been patient long enough. |

What if Sam refused to sign a new contract. If you look at the trade as a rental basically they didn’t do to bad. I have a feeling he wants to be out west and will play out this contract so he can go West. Not saying it’s a great deal but not as bad as everyone making it out to be. |

That gave me chills, and I live in 'Bama, so that's difficult to do in the summer.

I keep telling everyone, he spent the entire spring in Beane's office.

You can hope, but he won't. There's no one that wants to be here less, and by a large margin, than Eichel.
Adams looks like an utter fool if he plays one more game for this team.

We'll have to see. But you definitely get those vibes. They need to pay a lot of players this and next year. Fitting in Reinhart long term could prove difficult.

wondering if part of the strategy was to have multiple russians who would be coming up together, so they had eachother to lean on when in rochester etc |

Was pretty sure the Bill's took ja17's tight end.
Just wasn't sure.
Sanders has a relationship with Beasley from college too? Probably a distant relationship now ☝️ |

Sam Reinhart said he gave it all he had in Buffalo. Added that he was committed to the Sabres and was open to signing long term. “For whatever reason, my contract situation has led to this point.” |

Doing well. Nothing exciting going on. Still working from home due to COVID but heading back to the office in October. Is your new place gonna be in Hamburg? |

There you have it. Reinhart was willing to stay, the Sabres didn't have interest. Goes against what we have heard about the Sabres wanting him to stay. |

🌮
I'm not being overly emotional. 😥
Glad both guy's are gone.
Sam should have brought more within the division.
They both have similar contracts (rfa/ufa)
They both make similar $
Position ( offense vs defense ) is definitely a factor
Although sam's new found handle at center should have helped bring in more capital.
🍻 - Boss34
A big factor not mentioned is Reinhart has no 100% defined cap hit for next season, as it's an educated guess.
That means the team trading for him is planning for an undefined impact on the team's cap.
I'm guessing if Reinhart had a defined cap for this coming season, it may have made a difference in the return, and especially if the Sabres retained 50%, if it was a one year deal. |

[quote=Jet Jaguar BD]He tried to hurt the team in numerous ways. He kicked the organization in the ballsquote]
I and many here have criticized eichels maturity, leadership, and ability to mentor.
Bashing the organization is just par for the course. Not saying the Sabres don’t deserve to be bashed, but you don’t see the best leaders in the NHL blaming the team when things don’t work. They tend to blame themselves - lulags
They normally don't blame the organization publicly, but they sure as hell do privately. |

Maybe they have a diabolical plan to get a 2022 1st and a prospect and then he will resign next year? |

this like almost never happens with proud successful franchises with iconic players
would be (frank)ing hilarious if it happened with this sad franchise and someone who they treated like poop LOL |

Absolutely. I'm wondering if the NBA player mentality is starting to seep into some of the NHL players. |

So, I would have to believe that by not being traded (so far), that Jack's ego has to have taken a bit of a hit this weekend.
The Sabres (GMKA) set a bar telling teams that this is what we want and what we have determined Jack is worth on the market. You want him, pay the piper.
Teams have allegedly made offers and apparently low-balled what the Org believes Jack is worth. Injury not withstanding, Jack has elite talent (to go with his elite ego).
Doesn't this just substantiate what the Sabres believe Jack is worth? Or, is this more along the lines of GMKA saying, Sorry Jack, but the logo on the front of jersey is more important than the name on the back of yours?
My feeling... You're under contract, you don't like it, pull a Berglund. Otherwise, strap'em on, pull up your big boy pants, and prove to Buffalo why you deserve that "C". - BufBanditsFan71
Sakic’s patience was rewarded when he was trying to trade the disgruntled Duchene. KA should hold his ground while trying to make a deal for Jack Doucheichel.

Well take it for what it's worth, but I was told the Sabres had 3 contract offers on the table for Sam a 4yr 5yr and 7yr. Doesn't really matter know |
