I’m sad about losing glenny boys but I heard we did offer him a contract so I’m under the assumption he wanted to go chase a cup.

Well Suter can't win faceoffs, whereas Danault is one of the best. So that's a huge difference. When you are protecting a lead late in the game, Danault is your guy, whereas Suter gets stapled to the bench. And despite all the love for Suter, his play away from guys like Kane and DeBrincat was pretty ordinary. Coming to Detroit he'll have a downgrade in talent on his wings. Given all of our cap space, I'd have no problem going an extra $2.25M and getting Danault instead. Now I'll let the Suter love echo chamber continue...

K well. Danault got 6 years and we all know that wouldn’t be a good move for Detroit... you are so negative all the (frank)ing time. We get it yzerman is the worst GM to walk the earth and the wings were better off with Holland.

So is Bert wearing an "A" this year? Who gets the other? I assume Nielsen and Dekeyer are going to be out of the lineup on the regular.

Maybe a Henrique and Terry for Franz swap is in order.

Just saying it's pretty bizarre to compare Danault and Suter. Danault is a consistent Selke candidate while Suter isn't a shut down guy and had his points inflated by Kane and DeBrincat. The chances of Danault signing here were slim. But I still stand by the opinion that I'd rather have Danault despite the higher cap hit. But carry on.

Is TSN just completely screwed right now? The FA tracker has been frozen on Pysyk for like 30 minutes.

Good grief dude... have you ever posted anythiing not critical of what somebody else says or said anything not remotely negative? It gets old fast.... I'm not that interested in taking Danault on with a 6 year term on a team right in the middle of a rebuild. I'd take Suter at his current price and term all day.... especially since this team is starved for talent up the middle. He hasn't even stepped on the ice yet for Detroit... and you act like he's a bust since he's not with Kane & DeBrincat. Let's see what he can do before we pass judgement.

Can't find any info. or rumors on Nick Ritchie... hope Yzerman at least takes a serious look at getting him. I'm guessing Ritchie is getting a lot of interest and looking at his options. He would add some sandpaper to this team, he's 25 and had 15 goals and 26 points this past season. He could at a minimum give us some extra scoring I'd think compared to what he have now. Could be a decent power forward to make this team harder to play against.
