Names that pop up regularly for trades are Domi OJ Eichel DeBrusk - VANTEL
With Krejci gone that’s a big hole at 2C for Boston. Coyle is ok but not really a 2C & makes Frederic probably 3C. Still need a top 4 LHD. Don’t think OJ fits that billing. If OJ is on the market wonder what JB is looking for or if the roster is pretty set with some competition on the 4L. |

Fair enough their speculation long time on going.
OJ has a PK role now with Edler gone. Bonesy is more a shooter and puck carrier. He's good for PP2 but OEL would take that.
So it would seem as how the D is currently constructed Bonesy is odd man out. But being waiver exempt he could easily be shuttled between Abby and Van. - NuckUp
PP2 will use 2 D cuz not getting caught when the penalty ends. |

I don't know how it is going to play out. I think there will be one or two surprises at camp I also expect one more trade.
I don't believe Rathbone or OJ are locks for Canucks next year and I don't believe Highmore Zack or Motte are necessarily locks either - VANTEL
Motte is a lock given the depth but wide open for the other 4L winger. |

Canucks value him as a great PK'er, he'll be a lock for the 4th line and I could see him get spot duty on the 3rd if guys like Pearson, Hogs, Podkolzin aren't pulling their weight |

It has always been and where does OJ fit in , followed with will he be part of the Canucks . Seen Imac Freidman Halford and Brough. I think there has been more also but no solid He is on the move.
It is all speculation but it shows up often. He also turned down his qualifying offer but I don't think he filed for arbitration. I think it was only JD that filed.

He played 24 games last year 34 the year before. The concussions are more frequent and he has mental illness. Nothing is a sure thing. |

Not 2 LSD. So its Myers and OEL not Bonesy. |

Given his fragility in endurance Canucks well covered with 2 clone replacements in Highmore and Lockwood.
But ability to play center and up line up maybe he's tradable to Bruins for Debrusk. |

I like him as a player, but for the reasons you listed above as well as the fact that there will likely be a flat cap next year again and we'll have to re-sign Boeser, a capable backup, and Rathbone I just don't see Motte as keepable as he'll likely be looking for a raise and to cash in before concussions end his career. |

There's nothing there. Not a great skater, okay shot, not physical. Only stand out attribute is he's a pretty good passer.... with Hughes, OEL, Rathbone all ahead of him it makes sense to move him. Only way I see him staying is if the Canucks put Rathbone down in the AHL. Which they might do to suppress his contract ask for next year. |

I look at it this way , Benning said he is going to address the bottom 6 .If your only changes are to the third line then you have only addressed the third line not really the bottom 6.
It is a bit of a catch 22 . Yes technically the bottom 6 is better as a group but you did nothing to half of it. |

Or, if you bumped 2/3 of your 3rd line down to the 4th you've improved both lines. |

Jarmo K of Columbus is a Finn with good connections, maybe he still sees a player in OJ that this market / coaching staff seems to not trust.
I don't think they gave the kid a fair look myself , especially how last season ended, lots of time to play the crap out of him , and let him settle in. |
