Jarmo K of Columbus is a Finn with good connections, maybe he still sees a player in OJ that this market / coaching staff seems to not trust.
I don't think they gave the kid a fair look myself , especially how last season ended, lots of time to play the crap out of him , and let him settle in.

Max Lapierre was a pretty good 4LC, when tasked with becoming 3LC he was less than ideal.....especially against better and deeper teams. When you improve the top of your lineup, it organically improves the bottom end of it. That's why giving 4th line players big contracts is so stupid. |

Canucks value him as a great PK'er, he'll be a lock for the 4th line and I could see him get spot duty on the 3rd if guys like Pearson, Hogs, Podkolzin aren't pulling their weight
