Zajac contract confuses me. (if true) Why? I only see them moving Bailey to get the cap relief they need for a top O and D man. |

Having young players in the lineup can cost games with mistakes but it also forces veterans not to play complacent. Trading vets just to add vets that fit the salary cap are not always the answer. |

Raty signs entry level contract. - JohnScammo
Trade bait? Or does this free up another forward to be traded? |

Maybe neither? He's just 18, so I'm guessing he might get some AHL experience in Bridgeport. |

1 He's not making the team this year
2 He isn't eligible for the AHL
3 He has no impact on the roster whatsoever this year |

Will Raty be in junior or Bridgeport this fall. |

You could be right about 1 and 3. You're wrong about 2, however. He's not coming out of one of the Canadian leagues. |

Yeah your right about him being in BP but still could be trade bait as the team is in win now mode. |

My question to Ben is why would you break up the chemistry that AB Nelson Bailey have not add Palmieri to the top line as he is a consistent scorer that this not afraid to go to the dirty areas. Palmieri and Lee will make it hard on goalies and defenders in slot area.
My point is is why upset two lines when you only need to solidify one. |

I did not think he was eligible for the AHL. It would be to make the NHL Roster or go back to his old team. |

More likely a throw-in/sweetener rather than the centerpiece of a trade. He was a late 2nd round pick, so most teams passed on him...........twice. Unless Lou uses him to get someone to take Hickey or Komarov, I'm leaning toward Bridgeport.... |

It's my understanding that the AHL has an agreement with the major junior leagues in Canada not to allow their players under 21 to play in the AHL........but that this doesn't apply to European or even the U.S. leagues. |

He’s only coming to Bridgeport if his team releases him he’s still under contract for one more year in Finland. Not really sure why this is such a debate? Anyone thinking this kid is getting a spot in our lineup is nuts |

Np. Sure he could get traded but anything I know of this kid (which is just as much as anyone else) is he has quite a ways to go before he can crack an NHL lineup. |
