Nice assessment of what may, or may not be.
I was hoping for Rossi last year, not Raymond. I thought his past season was better than OK, but not overly impressive. But the external events of this world may have deeply affected him as well. So let's wait and watch what happens this year. |

Hoping they do streams from Traverse City again. I was really impressed with the availability last time. Would be good to be able to watch the scrimmages |

DETROIT HOCKEY NOW: 2021 Calder Trophy Finalist Alex Nedeljkovic remains eligible for the award this season. That’s because he played less than 25 games last season, in fewer than six games in each of the previous two seasons and doesn’t turn 26 until January. |

Who are the top 9?
Zadina - Larkin - Vrana
Bert - Suter - Fabbri
Erne - Ras - Veleno?
I would not be surprised if Fabbri dropped to Erne's spot and opened something up for Raymond in the top 6. |

At this point, I'd be very cautious of setting any lines/pairings. I've said for a while that we need to wait until camp breaks. I'd expect LR to begin the season in GR. It just makes sense to my non-professional mind. I think Mo Sides takes the opening face-off on the big club. Veleno, as well.
How nice is it to have so many young guys vying for a position on the big cub? When was the last time we struggled to get viable names in the opening night line-up? I'm talking about not having to assume wheel chairs could slide type stuff!!!!! The D-line is stable, needs some work. The net...guys, we're really in good shape. Cossa signed his ELC, will tracking him in the ECHL, maybe? I don't think he'll see NHL ice for at least 2 years, but after Petro decided against taking his ELC, The Captain did the right thing. The forward corps is solid, still some concerns up the middle and who could potentially fill those slots, but stable enough to be taken lightly at our opponent's expense. The roster has been completely revamped in just a few years. Stem-to-stern, guys are fighting for a roster spot in order to justify their contracts being extended past 3 years. It's literally amazing the work that's been done, guys. And the moves have been pretty solid moves. Many question taking Cossa in the 1st, but it's done and it filled a void in the bus leagues projecting onto the big club. Are Cossa and Ned the tandem of the future? I think so. And that projects relatively well.

That’s what I was wondering. It’s exciting that things are in flux |
