I thought I could at least enjoy watching the Pens lose tonight. Oh well, so much for that. Is that good coaching or is Tampa still hung over? Can't imagine the Flyers going into Tampa and defeating the defending champs without their top 2 centers. |

Have you looked at the center lineup that the Pens are playing in the game?

We're all going to die. You cannot avoid it unless you pray to Lord Fauci and do exactly has he says. And even then, your prayers may not be answered unless you're a Democrat elite. Then, you can go to Obama's birthday party without a mask while requiring all the service staff wear masks. You can go to elite restaurants with your elite buddies that are better than you wearing no mask while the service staff must wear masks. You can go to gala events with no masks while your servants carry your dress behind you with masks while you don't wear one. All of this glory can be yours so long as you're of the right woke mindset. There is hope for you. |

Not a good showing for Tampa. They'll bounce back next game. It's what good teams do. |

We have nobody from any political party or province opposing any of comrade Trudeau's mandates. All he had to do was dangle a billion dollars in front of their nose and they folded in a flash. - dubc55
That's because those politicians are more interested in preserving their own jobs than they are in preserving your liberty. They willingly sell out your liberty for their own power. America is not much different except for the fact that we have a system of federalism which gives states autonomy over the federal government. Plus we have the Bill of Rights with the 1st and 2nd Amendments. |

He’s slated to be playing with Dadonov and Krebs on his line. Dadonov and Stone on the PP.
Pretty good company. |

Stanley cup hangover I'd say. They'll be just fine. They tend to turn it on second half. |

just watching the highlights.....he looks basically the same. Maybe engaged a little more physically. his FO percentage was back down to the low 40's as well.
on one play in the highlights you can see him leave the zone early to change again. just saying |

I can see why Vegas is high on him. He's got all the tools and is a big guy. I guess we'll see whether or not he has the internal drive to get it done. Watching him routinely skate around the perimeter last year was terrible. |

I will never actively cheer against an ex-player. I think that is what crappy people do. However, I do not understand how Vegas has put this much faith in NoPa. Top powerplay? Seriously? They are a cup contender. Which franchise got/is getting it wrong? The Flyers or the Knights?

haha true. I love seeing the pats suck now though.
The two parts that make Tampa scary to me are Hedman on D and Vas in goal. Absolute consistent high level beasts. Pitt was all over them last night though. Pitt may not take a step back this year. I find that in recent years, what has happened is that they have been pretty strong in the reg season then run out of gas down the stretch. Veteran laden team whose core have played a lot of hockey over the years.
The Flyers certainly don't have that excuse.. we checked out on the first of March last year FFS

Yeah.....Tampa will be interesting in a couple of years to see who they can keep with all the high price contracts they have. Can see that for pitt. their depth seems fine in the regular season...but yeah, flaws in a series. I feel their defensive depth gets exposed in the playoffs. Completely understand what you're saying. |

I wish him well too. I think this is a gamble that they are taking that has a potential for a big win. If he turns the corner, then he could be a real contributor at a reasonable salary. |

Pretty sure the fact we got ellis for him is the most important thing. Its not like we traded to him to vegas for nothing.

I think they're simply putting him in a position to succeed and see what happens. Vegas has a major hole at center and they need to improve that. It's what is really keeping them from being more of a contender than they already are. If Patrick could somehow put it together, which I doubt, it would be a boon for them.

See that’s the thing. Patrick vs Frost, Patrick is still good enough to play in the NHL. He doesn’t have to be the force we all hoped he’d be but he can keep up. Regardless of how he felt about playing for the Philadelphia Flyers, we now have a major hole at center and once again like Brayden Schenn, I wish we kept him for what more season. I’m never gonna pretend like I knew what he was experiencing with most concussion syndrome and going a year and half without hockey due to Covid, which also likely meant less on ice workouts. |

I think six years of Ellis will be better than NoPa's overall career. Just surprised that a legit contender is putting so much faith in him. I made it a point to find him on the ice while watching. If not, I would not have noticed he was playing. Also, 41 is a weird number.

I thought the Flyers gave him every chance to succeed last year and he did nothing with it. They could have made him a healthy scratch 50 different times based on his performance, but they kept giving him ice time and PP time despite the fact that his play wasn't worthy of it. I watched a half decent amount of their game last night and I basically saw the same guy. Good riddance! |
