Its not ideal, but it reflects that reality that the Flyers do not have the players in their system ready to fill in the depth positions in this lineup, and given they started this rebuild back in 2014, its pretty sad! Fletcher filled a lot of holes this offseason, but he couldn't fill every hole, I think we were all hoping we would have young players ready. The other reality is the Flyers have been very unlucky when it comes to injuries, not just to their vets, but more so to their prospects.

It's really a testament as to how bad the Flyers young forwards are that they have to keep bringing players in off the street. I try to be a glass half full kind of guy, but it's really hard looking at the depth of this forward group due to bad signings and drafting. Where have you gone Jay O'Brien and Linus Sandin?

O'Brien is starting his 2nd season with BU, and so far he has been quiet in 3 games, though last game he got a lot more shots on goal and was more of a factor. Hopefully he will build off of last season and have a good year, because we do not have many centers in our system coming up.

O' Brien is not a candidate for the team this season. Injuries are the reason why the Flyers have a waiver claim in the lineup. No team has an endless supply of NHL players.

I do have the highest hopes for him, just stating that so far this season at BU he has started off slow.

lol @ where have you gone linus sandin. he wasn't making the team when the flyers signed him. it was hilarious people were trying to say he wouldn't have come over otherwise, despite not playing any games in NA.
