Both parties 100% suck. Neither cares about anyone and only cares about power. Don't "yeah, but..." me because that's bs.

Spot on! Why are cities like Chicago, Baltimore, Atlanta, Portland, and so many other places never improved? Why are young children shot and killed while playing in front of their own home, and nothing is ever done about it? Why are communities continually impoverished generation after generation? You want to start talking about racism, lets start with the supposed leaders who are the ones who are actually fostering it in the first place! |

The poorest states in the country are almost all red states. You better go ask the supposed leaders why nothing is ever done about it.

I think it's hilarious that the Canadiens tried to rat out CAR for not playing enough preseason games. Good job monitoring your sched NHL HQ...
Reg season starts tonight which I wasn't tracking. I thought it was Wednesday. We really have to wait this year for our season to kick off. Oh well, they'll make up for it with 20 games in March I am sure. |

In no where in my post did I mention red or blue states, or any political. In fact, that is the reason why nothing ever gets done, because its always made political when it shouldn't be! |

Yes, as I mentioned I believe the Flyers will have to win a lot of games early in the season because of their defense. They are having depth issues at center, there is no doubt about it, and we have outlined the reasons why. Where I disagree with some on here is that this in some way invalidates the great off season Fletcher had, as he attempted to fill several gaping holes in this Flyers' lineup. I also don't believe the Flyers are cash strapped. They have a number of 1 year deals that will expire, G will be re-upped at a significantly reduced cost or he may not play here at all, and JVR will most likely be traded in the off season. So if this year does not go well, Fletcher will be set up just as well, if not better, next off season to continue to build out this roster as he was this past off season. We have all seen now what happens when you put all your eggs into the prospect basket, you end up signing players like Thompson and picking up marginal players like Brown to fill holes. |

It remains to be seen if the GM had a great offseason. Wont know that until months down the line.
What significantly reduced del do you think captain comfortable will take? What amount and years?
Brown isnt a marginal NHL player. He is an AHL player 100%.

So is Brown playing 4C? I am sure he is a faster skater than Thompson.

Nice job with the cap, Chuckles. Usually you only want to be this close to the cap ceiling if you are a legit Cup contender, but apparently Fletcher never received that memo. |

Ov went for a big hit and got the worst of it. Did look like a knee. What was the poster mad about? Did he think it was a dirty play by TK who literally only stood his ground? - Hextall271
It was a nothing play. I still don't understand how AO got hurt on it. He's not fragile. Very strange. - Scoob
Didnât look like much to me. Wasnât really a big hit. TK was coming out of the zone backwards. His back was to OV as OV came in for the hit. I think because TK is short and was bent down OV went over him a bit and maybe hyperextended his knee? - Dkos
looked to me like ovie went for a big hit, but led with his knee from what i remember. - Ftown19125
I left a comment on the Flyers feed about Ovâs injury stating that it sucks he might miss time because I want him to beat Gretzky and become the leagues greatest scorer. The Flyersâ fan made a stink that he got what he deserve for attempting an illegal hit. So you know me, I argued |

It's not even an issue.
NHL senior vice president of communications John Dellapina confirmed Friday the Canes were one of several teams granted an exemption on the number of preseason games from the league.
âThe requirement wasnât changed. But the pandemic has required us to be agile and flexible in many areas,â Dellapina said in an email.
The New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils and San Jose Sharks each are playing only five preseason games.
âWeâre not the only team this year,â Don Waddell, the Canesâ president and general manager, said Friday in an interview. âBecause of COVID, teams cut back on games. We talked to the league months ago about it. We actually couldnât find enough games.â
