There's a few names missing from that group.

-- Matt Martin is likely non-roster/injured to start the season, meaning his cap hit counts but he has no roster spot.

-- Dal Colle/Bellows/Schneider all have contracts yet to be filed, which also keeps them off the roster.

With Dal Colle on waivers, his contract is now filed ($750K). If/when #Isles decide to add Bellows/Schneider, they will both have to go through waivers when their contracts are filed, most likely at the same number.

When #Isles need roster/cap space in the coming days to add those contracts and/or when Martin returns, seems likely that Hickey (already cleared waivers) and Komarov (will clear waivers) will be taken off the roster.

, this 23-man roster gives the #Isles an Accruable Cap Space Limit (their new cap) of $81.493 million with Boychuk on LTIR.

So they used up all but $6400 of the extra cap space, which is what you want to do when setting the ACSL.

Expect Schneider to be on waivers tomorrow/Wednesday so his contract can be filed. Once he clears, Skarek goes to Bridgeport. Schneider's the backup while Varlamov is out.

Goal is to not lose the depth guys the #Isles want and maximize LTIR. This isn't the playing roster.

Can't imagine they let Ross or Bellows be exposed to Waivers.. Leo will not get taken.

Wasn't sure if you were implying a trade or not, just throwing that out there. If they think there's a real chance that he'd be scooped off the waiver wire then I'd hope they'd try and move him somewhere. Not much leverage though so it may just be a foregone conclusion at this point.

Hearing NYR have given Vitali Kravtsov permission to contact other clubs in seek of a trade. Kravtsov did not make the Opening Day roster.

My Son and I were jumping up and down when they passed on him watching that draft. I knew the Oilers weren't taking an American.. or was pretty sure and assumed we would get him with one of our 2 picks. going into that draft I loved the 3 American kids. Brady Tkachuk, Quinn Hughes, or Wahlstrom and hoped one will fall to our 2 picks (other American kid I loved was Farabee who might be the best of the whole group). Solid group of American kids in that 2018 draft.

Rangers did better on next pick.. took K'Andre Miller at 22
