I'll have to reserve judgment after tonight... but anywhere from 4-8 is my guess.

Any team that rolls out Mike Smith and Cody Ceci ... notwithstanding McJesus and Drai.. is to me no threat...
I don't really know what the Flames are... Seattle looked good for stretches last night.. same with Vegas...Nucks look pretty solid. The Kings and Yotes, SJ who knows... kinda a crapshoot.

If at 27 JG can get his mojo back and Z and the yougins can infuse some O into this team... and for heavens sake if we can get back to just top 20 on both PK and PP I don't see why this team can't at least be in the mix for a spot in the playoffs.

Also need to see Hampus and Josh play at least 68 games to have any chance to be better on the backend.

All depends on Gibson. If he has an average season or gets injured, then I think Anaheim finishes 8th by a significant margin. If he has a career season, then I think Anaheim could finish as high as 4th.

I think the Ducks will finish ahead of the Flames. I'm not even excited to watch any Flames hockey, they are a dumpster fire, sure they added Coleman but I see a lottery pick in the future.

I see the Ducks finishing 7th or 8th in the division. I just hope Murray pulls the trigger on a trade for Rakell, Lindholm or Manson. We need to get as much as we can for them to help the rebuild.

Much will depend on staying relatively healthy with no major injuries. Last season Lindholm and Manson lost significant time. Silv was skating on a bum hip. Team also had an abysmal home record, while actually finishing only 1 game below .500 on the road. Then there was the PP, or lack of.

Fast forward a year and you'll have a full season of Zegras and Drysdale. Probably McTavish until the end of December when he'll play World Juniors (Murray will burn a year off his ELC like Zegras and Drysdale), but then I see him being sent down to not accelerate when he could reach UFA status. If he's tearing up the league and the Ducks are right there, then maybe they burn a year but I doubt it. With an improved PP and PK, and improved home record, and a healthy team, who knows what's possible.

Always good to finish before the Kings. If the Ducks finish 6th, that would be a progress. It's hard to say though because I think they are going to trade a player or 2. So put me down for 6th. But 7th or 8th if they trade Manson , Rackell, Lindholm.
