I’m not saying I like them, or their uniform, I’m saying I don’t even think of them when I think of Canuck rivals. I don’t hate them, like the flames. Suck it Kman. - 1970vintage
I wasn't accusing you of liking them.
I am just happy Seattle has a team, hopefully another west coast team soon. Maybe Arizona could move up to Portland.
They look a lot more like an expansion team than Vegas did. - NorthNuck
Hard to be a rival when you haven't even played a regular season game against each other, and don't play them more than anyone else in the Pacific. Give it a year or two, a playoff matchup, and then we'll have a rivalry
I honestly don't know who started this, or why it started, as I just started seeing this, but man is this such a stupid thing to stick around here.
Unless fans throw sh*t on the ice and get a delay of game penalty, or have direct influence on ticket prices, or throw racist stuff on the ice, there is absolutely zero influence this fanbase has on the team or its failure,/success. This fanbase didn't do anything to deserve Benning and his incompetence, nor did we do anything that deserves an existence of no championship. This saying is quite frankly stupid lol - Codes1087
It's essentially the motto for the two people that say it the most, but I truly don't think they believe it defines them - perfectly. Well I guess now they do...
Bunch of Gms really F'd up in the Vegas draft.... - SMP8719
I mean yes, obviously, but if you remember back to before the season started, when discussing if “you would trade rosters” almost everyone said no (frank)ing chance. Nobody thought Vegas would be as good as they were.

It was mostly the trades that were made not the picks themselves.
-The Buffalo Sabres traded their sixth-round pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft in exchange for Vegas selecting William Carrier.
The Florida Panthers traded Reilly Smith in exchange for Vegas selecting Jonathan Marchessault and a fourth-round pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.
The Carolina Hurricanes traded Boston's fifth-round pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft (previously acquired) in exchange for Vegas selecting Connor Brickley.
The Winnipeg Jets traded their first-round pick (13th overall) in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft and a third-round pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft in exchange for Vegas selecting Chris Thorburn and Columbus' first-round pick (24th overall) in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft (previously acquired by Vegas).
The Tampa Bay Lightning traded their second-round pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, Pittsburgh's fourth-round pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft (previously acquired) and Nikita Gusev in exchange for Vegas selecting Jason Garrison.
The New York Islanders traded their first-round pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, a second-round pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, Mikhail Grabovski and Jake Bischoff in exchange for Vegas selecting Jean-Francois Berube.
The Anaheim Ducks traded Shea Theodore in exchange for Vegas selecting Clayton Stoner.
The Minnesota Wild traded Alex Tuch in exchange for Vegas selecting Erik Haula and a conditional third-round pick in the 2017 or 2018 NHL Entry Draft.
The Columbus Blue Jackets traded their first-round pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, a second-round pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft and David Clarkson in exchange for Vegas selecting William Karlsson.
The Pittsburgh Penguins traded their second-round pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft in exchange for Vegas selecting Marc-Andre Fleury.
Seattle couldn't get any GM's to pay those prices. Or even bite on trades.

My opinion (which has no influence on franchise decisions) differs from your opinion (which has no influence on franchise decisions), therefore, we both deserve continued failure and disappointment from our favorite sports team

I agree, those picks played a huge part in forming the team now (through trade), but the actual team that was assembled was still better than the Canucks the first year.
Honestly, I'm of the opinion we should trade Miller this TDL for a pick and prospect. Klimovich looks like he could step in by that point and would make Miller redundant. The money we save could easily go towards Boeser's next contract and a replacement for Hamonic. - DariusKnight
Sell high is a good idea but at some point picks/prospects isn’t the choice. D imo still the need.
Fans are used to quiet good boys on the ice. Like the Sedins and now horvat who they mentored. Miller is different, he is loud and hates losing. I don’t see a problem with it. Elia’s is similar in a way - CanuckDon
Agree. Too many wussy fans complained now & over the years about players. Idgaf about altar boys.
the theme that I have been noticing, is that we have been so charmin soft for the last decade, that when we get a player who is gritty, we worship the ground he walks on. We then get another player who is gritty, and we start to think that one player is expendable, but the reality is, we need way more players who are gritty than just a couple. If its about building a new culture, then it can't just be one or two players.
We need more Millers/Garlands/Hoglanders, not less. I want teams to hate the Canucks every single night much like Detroit did last game. - Codes1087

What if fans are not complaining about his angry attitude at all , but instead complaining about his giving up on plays, or his foolish passes that cause excellent chances going the other way. What if I want to complain about his routine predictable passes on the PP.
