a sad waste of 10 years of our lives but its pretty funny how things are going here

we went all in to guarantee a superstar and mortgaged literally everything else and never were able to put a competent team around him, and it flamed out miserably

now we've accumulated a ton of mid/upper-mid tier prospects but probably no superstar.

Right but if they send Murray and Krebs down then they'll be under it
- Stripes77

I don't see how they send Krebs down. They need to make it work where he's up here. They got a couple of shiny new toys for Eichel and want them on the ice as soon as possible to sort of "save face". I know Tuch is out, but I seriously don't see how they can't ice a lineup without Krebs in it as soon as possible. Otherwise, what do we have to show for shipping out JE ?

Also, forgive my ignorance...when do we expect to see Tuch in our lineup ? Any ideas ?

So if the Knights 2022 1st round pick is top-10 protected and it does fall in the top 10, does Buffalo automatically get their 2023 first round pick with no conditions?

Krebs counts fully against the cap no matter where he is, doesn't he, since he's sub-1M (and "hiding" salaries in the minors only saves a max of 1M?)

He is on his ELC so no I don' believe so

His surgery in July was supposed to be about a 6-month recovery, which gets him to January-February at the earliest. Assuming all goes well for both, Vegas and Buffalo should see Tuch and Eichel return to their lineups around the same time.

It would be really strange of Krebs goes to Rochester. Saying he's good enough to play on a Vegas team, but not Buffalo is an odd message to send.

Sabres are 1,161,680 above. Subtract Murray, you're at $386,680.

You still can't subtract a forward when Mitts needs to enter the lineup.

If you take out Eichel and add Tuch they are at $60,397,475

Just over the cap floor.

If you send Murray down they're under the floor

We found out the hard way with Bogosian that when another fan base (almost) universally says that a player sucks then he probably sucks.
