You did try to convince us for a solid hour that this was a good deal for us to accept at this point. Go back to the board before you realize even your best offer for Eichel is still topped by the actual return.

Who ends up the better player between him and Kakko? Both are still incredibly young, I'm not writting them off at all, but Kakko's defensive game is solid. The offense may or may not come around, but at least he has that to his game.

I’m not complaining about it, we all were pretty much resigned to a return like this.

But I think that people feeling more relieved than it’s over than excited about what we got back should speak to how underwhelming it is.

Imagine after Eichel singlehandedly won us an OT game in Nashville turning MVP level Subban inside out that someday we’d trade him for two middle six players and a mid to late first in a few years?
