I am going to miss the great group they have there. Now I want to say how excited I am to be a part of the Buffalo Sabres organization. Being from Upstate NY, it’s been a dream of mine to put on the Sabres jersey. Thank you Buffalo and I can’t wait to get started!

Of course he had a preference not to trade him to NY, just like no one would want him traded to any eastern team, but that's not what you said.

He was invisible last year when he came back and I believe said it took a lot longer than he anticipated to get to 100%

Had another surgery last year, due to complications I think. If Tuch avoids those, he should be back to the player he was, I would think. Surgeries are becoming better and less intrusive for players rebounding to form. I also think this holds for Eichel as well.

Tuch did just have major shoulder surgery as well

Yes but it was a known entity. What Eichel is about to have done isn’t. I hope he makes a full recovery for his sake and for the league and for the fans because he’s a good player. But under the circumstances I think the Sabres did ok.

Eichel being hurt has a massive effect on his value, yet no one seems to think it effected Tuch’s value?

Tuch had major shoulder surgery with a 6 month recovery.

Do we know he’s returning to 100% of the player he was?

Had they not done this, when Mitts came back they would have had to send someone to Rochester and they would have been under the cap floor.

This does set us up for a super fun offseason... plus they have a lot of UFA stuff going on.

Thanks! It's crazy that we have to do stuff like this to remain compliant. If it weren't for Skinner's & Okposo's ridiculous contracts they'd be after whatever they could get.

Anyone taken a stab at assessing our wing depth for next year? I think it's safe to say Peterka will be here. Olofsson and Skinner for sure. With Tuch I think we are starting to look okay, but it still seems like a position of organizational weakness.

Tuch, Olofsson, Skinner, Quinn, JJ depending where he slots, maybe Cozens shifts to the wing if Casey and the newly found center Tage can handle it
