Yeah, bad enough when the Olympics were in Russia, giving credence to a homicidal bigoted kleptocrat, or when it forced itself on the people of Tokyo because the TV networks had ads to sell, or how it's routinely used to hollow out the civic budgets of cities that host them, or the crackdown and forced evictions in the poor neighborhoods of rio for brazil's games... no, showing up in China (by the way, name a brand you like that doesn't sell in China) THAT'S A BRIDGE TOO FAR.

(frank) the Olympics, but (frank) the whole thing.

- nfph

Yup... funny the hill people will choose to die on. The Olympics have been exploitative for as long as I've been alive. But a nuanced perspective would require him to actually pay attention to the impacts the Olympics have on local communities and form a productive discourse other than "BAWHGAWD..CHINA..!!COMMUNISMBAD!!"

Eichel wanting out was reasonable
We couldn’t put a team around him, and management was constantly a mess

Ppl complained about it all the time on here
U don’t think it was even worse for the players?
Of course guys like Jack & Sam & Risto wanted out
I’d bet others did too!

We will most likely have 4 1st round picks at the draft VO We'll likely be gone at deadline
- gerbe75pts

This is interesting, not that VO couldn't command a 1st, def can. But why move him if he's rounding into the player we're seeing? Need some sort vet presence.

True. But I believe WNY-er Tuch. I don't believe Eichel. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me that he cringed anytime he had to do anything for charity.

I never believed in booing an ex-Sabre upon their return to our rink. I've now changed my stance. He's a quitter who asked to be traded a few times now. Screw him...we don't need his attitude here.

no 20 year old athlete should be able to tell the owner to fire the coach or I refuse to sign a contract

Maybe Gerbs thinks or has inside info that Olofsson won't re-sign here ? Or will hold out 'til traded ? Maybe Jack tainted Olo with bad thoughts too ??

I would get it if we are completely out of it, and Olo didn't want to resign. Would prefer him too

if your centers are krebs, casey, cozens

wingers are quinn, tuch, peterka, skinner, tage

really only have 1 more top 9 slot

with all these 20022 picks, rosen, 3 russians picked last draft

sprinkle in asplund, r2d2 etc

nice problem to have

they literally could get out from under the skinner contract this offseason now if they wanted to

Need him to get to the floor, unless you are gonna try to buy all the FAs to come to Buffalo. Until they're forced to buy him out to better the team, might as well keep him. And while those wingers are nice and good, Olo has established himself as one of the top 4 if not top 2. Getting another pick is fine, but I'd just prefer to keep him as of now, which wasn't my stance on him a year ago.

I'm sorry did any of those countries release a plague upon the rest of the world in 2019 that is still killing thousands of people every day

Yeah, Japan and China real moral equivalence there.

Doesn't fit the time frame and they're not gonna overpay for another winger

They gotta pay someone to be compliant. Really tight roping the bottom cap limit with all the young kids. Some will get paid, but KO's 6 fall off in 2, Miller and Butchers 6.6 fall off this year, Boychucks only goes this year. Need to pay someone.

People have been talking about boycotting China since they were announced, way before Covid.

That's nice and good for them. I have no idea whatsoever what that has to do with this thread and the moronic response above.

Kravstov has more points in the NHL then Peyton “Demoted-to-the-AHL” Krebs
- rangerdanger94

Have you looked at Krebs’ quality of teammates this 9 game sample size ?

Context is important
