Have you looked at Krebs’ quality of teammates this 9 game sample size ?

They gotta pay someone to be compliant. Really tight roping the bottom cap limit with all the young kids. Some will get paid, but KO's 6 fall off in 2, Miller and Butchers 6.6 fall off this year, Boychucks only goes this year. Need to pay someone.

I am too surprised Krebs couldn’t average a PPG playing with Keegan Kolesar.

Gosh be damned.

Pasta, MacKinnon, Meier, or Larkin. I guess Kane, but shouldn't cost as much at age 34.5. Doubt MacKinnon would leave Col, as he's said multiple times he'll take a discount for the team. Larkin? Maybe Horvat or Huberdeau as well.

That's nice and good for them. I have no idea whatsoever what that has to do with this thread and the moronic response above.

It makes about as much sense as your unhinged ramblings do.

I'll spell it out for you, the same people have been talking about boycotting China, only now they ALSO use Covid as an example not just their inhumane treatment of their citizens.

Inhumane means they treat them badly, in case that's too big of a word for you.

Edit: I also like how you conveniently skipped right over Russia and the Kremlin assassinating opposition, and their inhumane treatment of their citizens.

We will most likely have 4 1st round picks at the draft VO We'll likely be gone at deadline

Why’s he on the outs? Seems to be playing much better?!?

This is important. I’d rather send Krebs to Rochester and have him get quality minutes in a meaningful offense role, build some confidence, than play part time “energy line”
Minutes in the NHL.
I’m glad we are in the position to do this with him and Quinn and not ruin these guys. I’m a bit surprised Vegas was doing this, but I guess the injuries there forced it

Happy with the return. Very whelmed. We have at least one player the wants to be here out of the deal. A nice center prospect. I’ll take it.

Turn VO into a RD prospect that’s about ready or a 1. Or both… lol.

Find a 3-4 year stop gap goalie.

And for the love of all THATS hockey. Don’t rush the kids! Don’t rush the build…

Yup... funny the hill people will choose to die on. The Olympics have been exploitative for as long as I've been alive. But a nuanced perspective would require him to actually pay attention to the impacts the Olympics have on local communities and form a productive discourse other than "BAWHGAWD..CHINA..!!COMMUNISMBAD!!"
- bufsabres17

China is arguably the worst state human rights abuser in the world, AND they unleashed a pandemic on the world and lied about it for months before they came clean. This isn't political. The CCP are evil, and the Olympics should have been moved, or boycotted. Period.

and in a few years will have to start paying the kids
- homiedclown

This is the very first thing that I thought of when seeing all of this youth.
Eventually, contracts and money will have to be given out.

But hey, I guess that we can cross that bridge once we get to it.

Good FA's almost never leave.

I think in a perfect world the kids stay in Roch the the whole year like our prospects did in the 2003ish season. Have Power and Johnson join them for the playoffs, win a championship.

Happy, and heres why:

- the drama is over
- we free up $5.2 MM in cap space
- Tuch adds size + speed + skill + playoff level compete (and ~45 to 60 points per year) for a modest salary
- Krebs is a top 10 talent who will grow with JJ, Quinn, Casey, Cozens, and Power into the new core
- we have THREE 1st round picks in a loaded 2022 draft
- 2022 to 2024 draft capital AND cap space to make whatever moves are there
- a happy locker room
- a coach who has a knack for getting the best out of the young talent

I'm sorry did any of those countries release a plague upon the rest of the world in 2019 that is still killing thousands of people every day

Yeah, Japan and China real moral equivalence there.

no 20 year old athlete should be able to tell the owner to fire the coach or I refuse to sign a contract

and get his way

- homiedclown

Lots of young superstars have that though
Eichel may have been a bit cocky, but i don’t think he was outlandish by any means

if your centers are krebs, casey, cozens

wingers are quinn, tuch, peterka, skinner, tage

really only have 1 more top 9 slot

with all these 20022 picks, rosen, 3 russians picked last draft

sprinkle in asplund, r2d2 etc

nice problem to have

they literally could get out from under the skinner contract this offseason now if they wanted to

- homiedclown

Might actually need him just to hit the Cap floor for a while though

Probably not. I dont think we have the goaltending or defence. Nice try though, I'm a realist.
