This is a solid return. Not a haul as originally thought but good enough considering the situation |

I doubt it would of been top 10 anyway |

We thought we'd be getting either an additional salary dump or a secondary prospect, so this about hits expectation.

It’s ok
Being a pr!ck is all he knows how to do
I’ll just not respond to him,
since our ref here isn’t gonna do anything about it |

Yup I’m adequately whelmed. The intangible feeling of him out the door is a plus too. |

Fans don’t care about that - Fattony1187
The average fan on the street doesn't know about the stuff that is rumored to have gone on behind the scenes. The guy was the best player that we've seen since Hasek - that isn't nothing. He needed to go and I get that... he was still a generational talent in his prime.

So who planted the Tkachuk story with Kevin Weeks last night? Adams? I am sure Calgary is furious. |

An unproven prospect, a late 1st, and a bottom 6 player for Eichel - rangerdanger94
Ya not a great return from what was/is a franchise player IMO. I remember buffalo fans thinking Eichel was on par with Matthews, heck some buff fans wanted Marner for Eichel. I honestly thought the sabres would get more, this doesnt seem like a lot.
But if you guys are happy, I guess thats all that matters. |

That seemed like the much better deal, obvious wasnt valid as Im sure Buffalo would have preferred that trade. |

Krebs is a good prospect, Tuch is a 2nd line RW, 1st round pick may be top 15 in a loaded draft.
Could have been better, could have been worse.
All of it better than what the Rags were offering. |

thanks for coming by. The deal is fine/good considering the circumstances. People wanting Marner was a small minority.

Krebs should be a helluva player.
We all know what Tuch is (big, fast, skilled), and he's got a very good contract.
A first in a supposedly strong draft?
Sign me up.
Now we can finally envision what our team will look like going forward. |

# of Leafs fans wanting to send Marner was likely much bigger than a yearning for him here |

Let’s not focus on what the Sabres got in return for a second. Let’s focus on what they got rid of. They got rid of a disgruntled often injured 10 million dollar a year player. Not to mention a pissed off player with a serious neck injury. There is no guarantee that this surgery will work. All surgeries can be dangerous especially when you deal with necks and backs. Buffalo is in a great position to build this team into a strong competitor. All they need to do now is develop their prospects into stars. Can they do it? |

There's something to be said about knowing what we have now. We've got some young pieces, got some picks, let's do this Adams. I'm just worried as hell they're now going to shift to trading picks for players again to speed this thing up and ruin it. |

Put Cozens and Krebs in the Roc.
Finish bottom 5
Then I’ll like our team for next year |
