Hopefully in a “jerk parent free zone”. My friend from middle school/high school coached honeybaked and now Little Caesars. He was offered OHL but said the parents make it way too stressful. I guess they can get a little out of hand

The parents were fine for the most part. The kids were just douchebags because they were rich kids or thought they were hot poop because of the travel teams they played on.

That really sucks. Some of those teams cost so much that “normal” kids can’t even think about playing. I think a couple of the Detroit area ones cost 20K or more

Looking at other rosters to find a 2C in this age group? Like what they did with Nielsen? Now with Suter?

Wrong approach.

Larkin is your 2C. You need a 1C. They rarely get traded, with Eichels uncertain health the reason for that move. They also rarely make it to UFA. So you need to draft one. Everything else is just a band aid. Not rocket science.

I ended up gravitating away from it anyways as I was from the poorer side of town and none of my friends played. Ended up playing football in high school.

When my mom and stepdad found out what it cost (my school didn’t have a hockey team) it was a no go. I played middle school football. Was more into music so did marching band/concert band and choir stuff through high school. Ironically i traveled more with state and regional music groups than I would have with sports. I qualified for a European choir but that was way too much $$. I didn’t get my first pair of hockey skates until I was almost 38 and could afford the equipment. Got hurt shortly after, ironic. Sucked as an athlete, but if you needed a tenor or baritone, I was top 6 for sure
