I don’t even think Brown is an NHL player.
- SuperSchennBros

What is it with folks deciding about a player with nano-sized samples! The only way you don’t see his positives is to come from a bias to start with. Brown has been good in his very limited opportunity so far.

I think the 4th line will get better…when they add guys like Allison and Hayes back in the guys skating on the 4th line will obviously be better. I like what MacEwen brings…I like what I’ve seen from Brown. I thought they got hemmed in 2-3 times last night but had some shifts where they returned the favour last night.

This team can not count on Allison in any way sadly. His injury track record speaks for itself. Anything you get will be gravy.

That being said Hayes back will drop someone and will remove Brown.

Macewen is fine. Good pickup. Brown is as bland as bland can be. He is just there.

He is 29 years old. How much more of a sample size does one need? Your definition of very good and mine clearly differ.

They have a 4th line that loses the very high majority of its matchups. They are good for a goal a game against. Overall they hurt the team. Seeler and Yandle seen enough.

both teams didn't play well. Flyers played a tad better.

I said good. It’s 3 non consecutive games on the 4th line so far. You need to look at current role and fit. He can take draws, is a righty, can PK well, hasn’t taken stupid penalties and always hustles and battles. He got a few shots last night. It is a limited role to begin with.

LMAO!! Do you actually watch the games or do you just come here to whine? The first 2 periods last night were their 2 best periods of the season. Yes, the Caps made a push in the 3rd, but that's to be expected. Not really sure what you were watching. Thanks!

That’s about the only thing you could nitpick, that the flyers seemed to sit back a bit in the 3rd. They played a strong defensive game and Jones played really well again.

He’s still wondering why AV isn’t calling timeouts after icings.

the 4th line is not good. That is pretty much every game. Last night included.
- hello it's me 2050

The current 4th line is a dumpster fire, anyone who doesn't acknowledge that has their head in the sand. That said when Hayes, and Allison are back that will lengthen the lineup. Hayes will probably be ready in the next 10 days or so, Allison maybe 3 weeks away. Of course by the time they return there may be other injuries.

Vigneault in his pre-game press conference all but ruled out Ellis for Wednesday. It's becoming a joke with the Ellis situation.

Jim Jackson and Keith Jones said both are highly doubtful for Wednesday during last night’s broadcast. I’ve been surprised before though.

The flyers could win the 7th game of the Stanley cup in double OT and I swear some of you guys would still complain.

Wednesday is the first game Hayes is eligible to play, the fact he needs a bit more time coming off surgery is understandable. The situation with Ellis is laughable.

I think pretty much every fan on this board except maybe three people ignored this guy’s injury history when we acquired him.

Brown offers nothing. He is just a player who is there. Do not see one thing he does well. NAK is a much better player than Brown. So with NAK you either live with the dumb stuff or you move him along as I dont think all of a sudden he stops playing the way he plays.

Agree it is tough. Sanheim can contest to that as well.

- hello it's me 2050

Yes, that's right, because Sanheim had a good reason why as a left defenseman he was floating at the top of the right circle dot on that first Pittsburgh goal the other night, right?? Get real!

Ya, that's right, we are all laughing that our best defenseman is sidelined and can't play. Tell me, do you actually want the Flyers to succeed or instead would you rather just rant when things don't go well for them??

So tell me, when did Ellis have his first groin injury? What season? How many games?
