More is needed from many of the players.

It's not like Pastrnak is lighting things up - and I've seen him take some dumb O-zone penalties.

And it's not like Hall is playing with a premium C. Coyle is a 2C-light IMO.

Anyone think maybe Hall gets traded to Calgary. Ek said for like 2 years that Hall would go home to Calgary. Maybe a swap for Monahan?

No. He had the opportunity to sign there (or anywhere) and stayed in Boston. This is dumb.

Hall had an elite centerman to play with. His name was Eichel. He couldn’t produce then. So then he cries to be traded ONLY to Boston because it was all Buffalos fault and not his. Fast forward and here we are again with this player. Going to be upset he was benched. Next step is he will demand to be traded to Calgary.

He has 7 pts in 10 games currently. He just had a couple dumb turnovers that can be fixed. This really isn't anything more than a coach expecting better from his player in the future. Those are plays you can't make in the playoffs.

Hall played a whopping 37 games for Sabres. Eichel played... 21.

How many games did Hall play with Eichel? What did you expect?

Buff sucked big-time last year, and yeah, it was Buff fault Hall was traded.

What the heck are you even going on about?

3-2 after 2.

Franked the pooch on this one.

Hope this isn't what we get for $5M in goaltending.

Taylor Hall was a great player, but ever since his MVP season he hasn’t really produced consistently. Maybe too many changes in scenery, I don’t know. He just doesn’t seem like the elite player Edmonton hoped he would be when he was drafted . I would love him back here, but as our 3rd best forward tops he would need to be paid as a supporting player. As far as Star forwards go he seems to be a 2nd or 3rd tier forward, and not a annually guaranteed All Star. I’m curious if he will be selected for Team Canada in the Olympics. My guess is he will be but it’s hard to imagine where he ranks among wingers.

The key to Hall all his early years was his speed. You could put anyone with him and he would push the defence back on their heels and open the ice for everyone else. The last two years he doesn’t have that extra gear. Not sure if he’s already lost that or if he’s not quite 100%. But right now he’s not looking like he used to. He won’t be on TC at this level.
