Luke Hughes just turned 18. He’s nearly a year younger than Power, and has 1/4 the collegiate experience he has yet he’s going punch for punch with Power…..

Take away all of the secondary PP assists where Power did next to nothing and what are we even talking about here.

- Pegullaville

And this equals he's better than Power…how?

I don’t feel like going 10 rounds on this. I’ve read what a lot of people are saying on both. Can’t say I’ve watched more than a full 4-5 periods. From what I’ve read/saw, Hughes has a ton of D work to do

It's so quiet in there. I hope the pegula's are as embarrassed as I am.

edit: this is what Hartford looked like.

Love the behind the net camera angle. So rare to see a live goal on it.

Pegula's are getting sent a message, can't blame the fans after the last decade.

Luke Hughes and Owen Power each have 6 collegiate goals.

Only difference is the latter has played 26 extra games for the blue and gold.

Luke Hughes has 13 points in 12 games. Power had 16 points his entire freshman season.

Don’t even get me started on William Eklund or we’ll be here all night.

I can’t remember watching a game with so many “tink” sounds in the background, like puck hitting post.

Very annoying

Really nice second wind effort by Buffalo. It was not looking good early on in this game, but we found some energy

their backcheck is embarrassing. without McDrei they are a pile of rendered fat.

Something, something tanking ( though they never tanked for those 2)

In no particular order:

- blocked shots on the penalty kill
- Total effort for 60 minutes
- I saw Dahlin throw a check in the 2nd period before a Cousins goal
- A true 1st line center game for Dylan Cousin and a great organizational move to show faith in him
- They finally closed out a lead. Imagine the standings if they didn't drop three 2-goal leads in four games.
- Jeff Skinner continues to look good without scoring. He saved Tage Thomspson's ass at the end of the game with a great defensive zone effort.
- Goaltending was superlative.

I was able to watch about a period and a half (most of the third)

Noticed a few things in that period:

Cozens matching up with McDavid...very nicely done

Skinner with about 3 minutes left in the third did an excellent job in the d-zone to win a puck battle and get the puck out at the end of a shift none the less.

Pysyk looked really comfortable with the puck (nothing new there)

Tage with an awful giveaway (owes Hagg I believe with the big block on that)

Tokarski stood on his head in the third

That's a very heavy offensive team they just held to 2 goals (PP none the less)

Well done.

So do you match up Bergeron, I mean Cozens against Matthews or Tavares? Thompson is going to get taken to task by the other. Hopefully Goalofsson is back tomorrow.
