Want to see how this young team reacts to this little losing streak. This little break should Hopefully let Granato do a few tweaks and adjustments. |

They need Anderson, Olofsson and Mittelstadt back for Friday against the Oilers which they aren't going to get.
That one could get ugly fast |

Well they already know they won't have them, they will just have to keep pushing. |

That's the epitome of Donnie Meatballs's "no saviors" mantra.
No one is coming to save them. It's up to the collective to see that they don't get the doors kicked off 'em |

Was just doing some backreading on the last blog and RhinoFan had this gem of a post , which I agree with 1 million percent. I would actually LOVE to watch that team play 82 games right now for us. Don't care if they lost a crapload of games due to the young age of that group and its growing pains, I would love seeing that team develop together. Anyway, here's RhinoFan's excellent post from last blog :
Perhaps, just perhaps, instead of trading away our youth now (like last time) we should let these kids develop.
Olo
Tuch
Krebs
Cozens
Dahlin
Rosen
Quinn
Peterka
Samuellson
Bryson
UPL
Portillo
Levi
Poltapov
Kisakov
Novikov
Ryan Johnson
Laaks
Asplund
Tage
Those are all youngish pieces or not in the pros yet that project to be outside maybe the goalies. That's enough to get a team going, even if some bust out which they will. The way to ruin this is to trade our Colin Whites and Jack Roslovics away again. |

I forgot to mention in my last post that I would love to see Aaron Huglen be part of our youth core someday. That would be an amazing story. Kid has had to battle back from a horrible injury - it's a miracle he's even playing. |

Here me out take out, Samuelson, Poltapov and one of the first round picks from next year and insert a likes of of Matthew Tkachuk.
Still looks pretty good, no?

He won't sign here. So give all that up for one year of Tkachuk? No. |

I understand the logic, but I also think Tkachuk isn’t the target.
I guess it depends on whom is available at what price this offseason.

you need to add some salary to get to the floor
time to add some quality players instead of scrubs
an impactful RD and an impactful goalie is a good place to start
the kids need to turn the corner next season |
