If you think that the issues are connected somehow between the Flyers and the Phantoms, that would suggest an organizational coaching issue. I personally don't think there is any connection.
- MJL

Ya, I'm not sure there is a connection, just that the PP for the Flyers has not been top 10 in over a decade. I just looked it up, since 2010 the Flyers PP averages less than 20%, and if you look at the past 5 years or even the past 3 years, the PP % declines closer to 19%. This is troubling to me. Sure teams are going to have good years and bad years, but give over the past decade the Flyers have had multiple coaches I must look elsewhere as to why this is. That is why to me it starts with the players. Have we had and do we now have enough innovative and highly skilled players on the PP? I seriously question whether we do.

Perhaps Bundy going off on ownership and NBCSP garners more weight than a bug up AntSanPhilly's arse?

Man, he's really worked up. Think he's holding a bit of grudge for not being a part of the tv crew this year? Honestly, if no-one said anything about the awards ceremony it wouldn't have resgistered to me as being any different from any awards ceremony Ive ever seen before a Flyer's game.
- Dkos

I dont blame Bundy for holding a grudge. He was the best guy on the tv crew. They replaced him and the woman (blanking on her name) with Hatcher and Hartsy who both are awful. Hatcher cant even simultaneously walk/move while discussing the Flyers during intermission.

Regardless of the scheduled time, if a fan wanted to be there to see it they would've made the effort. Based on what he said attendance for the ceremony wasn't all that different than attendance at the start of most games this season.

Maybe scheduling it for a Saturday game would've increased attendance. Maybe not.

I agree with his point on streaming. It should've been available.

Mullen coached the PP for 10 years ending in 16-17. They finished in the top 6 for 7 of those years and 4 years in the top 3. His worst year was his last when they finished #14, still top half of the league. Letting him go was just another Hextall blunder.

Man do I agree with this screw up. I have no idea why they let mullen go. I am assuming he wouldn't be one of hexy's snitches so hexy relieved him.
Also not a fan of lappy taking over the AHL head coach spot. They should have kept what they had going down there

Don't agree with that, agree Lappy has no business being the guy to develop these young plyers at this point.

Bill does AV watch or scout the phantoms at all? If so any idea what extent?
- hello it's me 2050

Brent Flahr and, periodically, Chuck Fletcher do most of that. But AV and Lappy speak by phone several days a week.

thanks.

Is it normal in today game with all the technology for coaches not to be more aware of what is in the minors in terms of seeing them play.

Katie Emmers. Pal of Bill's iirc.

I don't understand why hockey post game broadcasting has to be so visual. Maybe it caters to the crowd who are watching at a bar and cannot hear (or do not care) about what is being said. Why can't they take 10 plays and break it down with slow mo and sharpies? Maybe NHL doesn't allow re-broadcast rights for that purpose?

The Eagles post-game show has always been a barking circus with Barkann running things. But no one is there because they are cute. Among all the noise, you do hear interesting tidbits. Like, Seth Joyner said early in the season that Josh Sweat had the wrong foot (Left) forward when lining up, and sure enough, 2 games down, Sweat had changed his stance and had his inside foot forward.

If my ass was on the line I would be watching who my top prospects are to see if they can help. Can easily find time to do that.

Not like he puts a lot of time into the PP or Pk.....

Ellis said last week that he's never had this particular type of injury (believed to be a recurring groin pull, but not confirmed as such) before in his career.

Why does it cost an arm and a leg to go to a game now? I can no longer take my kids to a game.

So if he misses a third of the season due to a broken right arm then breaks his left arm, he hasn't missed time because it is the first time he broke that arm?

No one said that he had groin issues when he was acquired, The point was he misses games due to injury.

32, 32, 80, 58, 79, 71, 44, 82, 49*, 35*

He misses a lot of games
