Messier was one of the dumbest things Pat Quinn did, he was 36 years old when he signed in Vancouver. His best years were obviously behind him. - LeftCoaster
Yep it was a house clearing move when he didnt want to make one. |

IMO, Hughes doesn’t dominate yet. Demko is the closest we have to that. I said it a few days ago, if I’m building a team it starts at goaltender.
Goalie
Defence
Centre
and then the rest.
It might not get you the cup but it’s the safest way to build for success. And then you hope for some luck to get to the promised land. - bloatedmosquito

How Poor was Gillis drafting? There are articles to show the absolute worst in the league. Key to any success now is through the draft. - manvanfan
If they rebuilt I’m thinking his drafting in the top would’ve been good. Picking Horvat up was a great pick, he liked his CHL players. Hodgson lead the CHL in scoring and won player of the year, kinda like you brag about McDonough and others Bennings drafted.
Plus, reports are he wanted Dylan Larkin in 2014. If that would’ve happened you would’ve had Larkin and Horvat to build around. |

A few games ago, you made me aware of how Hughes was a +6, I said wait a few games, Hughes is now at +1.
Suck it Lefty.😁 - Reubenkincade
Still one of only two plus players on the second or third worst team in the league…suck it Reuby |

Over the last few games I have noticed that Pouty is taking faceoffs and actually winning some, maybe he can make it as a 3rd line centrre. |

I brag about McDonough because he was a 7th round pick.
Benning wanted Larkin not Gillis. |

Why didn't he want Brayden Point? Or Pastrnak? Nice scouting Gillis. |

Brad Shaw has been a good add. Now only if they would let him take over. |

Not sure, probably the same reasons Jim Benning didn’t pick them? Maybe Gillis had Point in his second round? |

Canucks have had the most PPs in the league and when you pass the puck back and forth for the entire 2 minutes, you will rack up the offensive possession numbers pretty quick. |
