Its like a falling stock, what do you do?
1) sell early
2) Ride it out and it comes back
3) Ride it out and be left with nothing - carsonagenic

Except in EPs case it is almost universally agreed that he is performing worse than his actual skill level and he will inevitably bounce back. |

1/ Elias Pettersson is an artist. His canvas is the ice, and his tools are a stick and puck. Artists can often be mercurial. They need inspiration, confidence, hunger.
Right now, we're seeing what happens to an artist when they lose those motivators. It can appear bleak
2/ In my humble opinion, the best way to help Pettersson regain his former self is to inspire him. To rouse that imagination from its slumber. To incite, motivate, & invigorate him
It appears that needs to come from a fundamental shift within the scope of the team and org
/3 And for those who say, "he has 7 million reasons to be inspired."
Sure, money is one thing, but it almost becomes another brick tied to your feet as you struggle to stay afloat. Added weight and pressure.
He needs positivity and energy. Joy. Camaraderie. optimism. Belief
/4 I stand by my belief that his talent has not been stolen by some aliens looking to win an intergalactic exhibition match. It's in there, waiting to resurface.
He will get back to his old ways. But he may need some help, some patience, some trust to get back there. - VanHockeyGuy
I never knew Cam was the biggest moron in Vancouver: this is insane |

Anyone named Jack sounds like a fair return. The important thing is we get rid of his contract |

Huh? This guy is clueless about hockey. What Petey needs is some Ben Gay in his jock and a good kick in the ass. |
