TOO. MANY. SHOTS. AGAINST.

We'll take the point streak, but come on.

We have a serious issue on our hands with Yandle. He is not playing well but since he is so close to the record there is no way he sits. No way we stop the streak with a healthy scratch.

Let's go boys!

5-0-2 in the last 7 games is great. But watching the games they aren't playing well. Getting continually pinned in the d zone and bleeding scoring chances. Winning isn't sustainable.

Would like to see them with a full roster, but that won't be happening anytime soon. Winning is more fun than losing, so just enjoy it while it lasts.

Top goalie out
1c out indefinitely
Top RH d has been and will be out indefinitely
2nd line C out for most of the year..

I'm happy that we are even winning games. Maybe by the grace of the hockey gods we can get healthy by February and make a final strong push and redone our game bc I'm afraid Fletcher isn't going to start the rebuild just yet...
So we either pray for a miracle or expect mediocrity to continue

Top goalie has been playing all season
1C been playing all season
2C who is a 3C is no difference maker
The loss of Ellis does hurt the team but all teams have injuries and just have to overcome. Just bunch of lame excuses.
How about guys like Provorov..Sanheim..Tk...JVR( till last few games)..Hayes..Atkinson( since first few games) just arent playing to near expectations plus front office insists on playing a guy like Yandle as being the reason they are a below .500 mediocre team

Rinse and Repeat will be the Mantra 2022.

As far as excuses go please look at Shiiitsburgh. Cindy out, maklin out. they just plug in pieces and keep winning

Said this a few weeks back, Pitt just keeps on going. They have a good eye for talent while having no draft picks, they put together a good blend of players. That still won’t get them to the conference finals and next year they have a ton of contracts up, curious which way they will go.

If the Flyers actually had a consistent year to date, you could look at their current play and just hope they hold until they get healthy. But even with full squad they have been defending way to much …

Happy New Year, hockeybuzzards! It would be happiest to start out the new year with a Flyers win.

Let’s go Flyers!

The biggest thing you are missing is they have a coach that sets them up for success and has the team playing the right way. When all those guys were out they played hard, intense, and fast, when can you ever say that about the Flyers ?

Guys with this type of injury don't normally get back to 100% until many many months.... He may be on the ice but he isn't at his normal level.
Coots has been hurt for weeks... If you watch it's been obvious he isn't himself
Hart is in covid but my statement sounded much better when I throw in the starting goalie bullet point though.

The rest are solid and I stand by them

Yeah coaching is important but if you don’t have the right mix no coach will make a difference. Coaches can tell the players but at some point players need go to play. I don’t think the Flyer players are not trying, they just have the skill or teamwork to play as well as pitt.

Winning the way they are doing it is a bad thing. It breeds false hope, and with hope comes yet more bad trades and wasted assets. Old and slow is no way to go through life.....

Brian Boyle, Mark Friedman, and the other scrubs they have aren’t the right mix, it’s the coaching and the buy in from the players.

Hayes is what Hayes is...a solid 3C PK guy who is grossly overpaid. Expecting more then that from him is dreaming injury or no injury. Agree with you on Couts he has looked terrible all yr and I hope it's been due to a season long injury or that 8 yr contract is going to look ugly real fast.

A bad signing imo. Too long and too much for what he brings.

Hayes at his best is more of a 2C than a 3C. Couturier didn't just all of a sudden fall off a cliff with his play. He's obviously not been healthy.

Is a 40 something point center a #2 center? If so is it a high mid or low end #2?

If Hayes was a 2C the Rags would have kept him, though at lower $$. Hayes is a low 40 point a year guy who scored more then 17 goals twice in his 8 yrs in the NHL and never hit 50 points..If he is any teams 2C then that team is weak down the middle....I certainly believe Couts is hurt. I agree i dont see him falling off the face of the earth just like that after signing his lifetime contract( at least I hope so) Doesnt seem like the type of guy to sign an 8 yr contract then disappear though it has happened to others
