Their descent has been noticeable over the last couple seasons. Problem is, aside from a handful of network guys, most up here in Canada, I can't stand ANY teams announcers! - Tonybere
I agree, it's the whole homer aspect. Makes me hate listening to anyone. Why I started playing vinyl in the background with games on mute some nights |

The Fox injury play looked like any other normal play. Wonder if he just felt a twinge in his shoulder or jammed his wrist. |

I thought maybe he hit his head and it was a concussion protocol type of thing. They just couldn't send him back to the game |

I think the Rangers went up 2-0 and thought it was going to be a cake walk and took them lightly. They deserved to lose that game |

Sam's fault with his stupid commentary. |

Pretty much have my list for the trade deadline:
Laf, Schneider and Othmann are untouchables for me
Miller and Kakko I don't want to deal but would listen depending on the player we could bring back
Every other prospect/pick is on the table in trade talks
Time for fun!! - TPC
In my opinion one would have to be included if you had any chance of getting JT Miller. Probably would take a high draft choice and a roster player also

They gotta roll Laf on the top line and let him get going some how. Rangers always play down to their opponents - nyrangers2
One of 3 things needs to happen with Laf
-leave him on the top line no matter what and let him learn to play RW.
-actually build a 3rd line worth playing with him.
-if neither of those 2 things can happen, let him be the star in Hartford. I suggested this earlier in the season and got my head ripped off on here. He needs to be put in a position to succeed and the Rangers have failed with that miserably. |

I didn’t see fox injury hope he’s ok or things will be more difficult lol
Seems when Georgy plays the whole structure goes out the window sometimes. And in general when Georgy plays its a cluster(frank) back there. He doesn’t make it easier when he swims around the crease losing angles and just flat out sucking for the most part
The only kryptonite to this team is a Shesty injury, it’s the one thing that cannot happen |

One thing he could do is he could play so (frank)ing good that they have to move him up- Just win (frank)ing the job outright. #1OA

I said earlier in the week to send Laf Kakko and Barron all down together and play the top line on Hartford. Gain some confidence and chemistry, come up for game one of the playoffs as our 3rd line. They all need top line minutes to succeed and in Hartford they could all play 17-18 mins a game and be productive. It is very hard to produce 5-5 in the NHL consistently without some PP time. They haven’t really tried playing Kakko and laf together at all
In the meantime we can afford to play all these extras in the bottom 6 and probably make a trade |

Did you hear Vali talking about him showing up his team mates? then think back about Tony D wanting to kick his ass.
Edit they showed a video clip of it |

The maddening part is Laf shows bits of high end skill when he’s on that top line. Just leave him there and let him do his thing. |

Yea if I never watched a hockey game or knew hockey at all, Laf doesn’t appear to be a #1 overall player in the slightest bit so far |

To me, the pace of the NHL is where he has trouble. Like he can’t keep up with it |

I don’t disagree as we need to see more flashes, but if you look at Lafs production it directly correlates with his ice time. He’s only had a handful of games over 15 minutes.
In the rest of those games he’s stuck with Chytil and whatever plug they put next to them that game. No consistency, no chemistry, little to no PP time. When you look at it that way, it’s a lot less surprising that he’s not breaking out yet. |

No, absolutely not.
If we trade either of those guys, their replacements in the roster need to be included with Miller.
We’d then be complaining how the left side or RW have even more holes. |

that pass that Lafreniere made last night to Gauthier was star quality, Gauthier has no finishing ability, absolutely none
if Laf was playing with some star level talent I have no doubt he'd start pouring on the assists
but this problem of Kreider, Panarin and Lafreniere being left wings isn't going away anytime soon - jimbro83
At this point Laf has to play RW or trade him. He is useless as a 3rd liner. Right now hes the most useless 10A in the last 10 years. If he was playing at Hughes level this team would be unreal |

I thought the same earlier in the season. But the last few games he’s been thinking the game quicker, which allows his high hockey IQ to come through more. More noticeable plays because they’re actually connecting (I.e. the pass to Gaut last night, toe drag in the corner two games ago)
I’m a believer though, so may be a bit optimistic. |
