I actually don't hate the Barron move. I honestly never notice him on the ice unless he takes a faceoff. That is good sometimes cause he isn't making dumb mistakes but he also did nothing in the offensive zone.

It just speaks more volumes they need to make some trades soon. No more of these Gettinger types

The problem for the Rangers and Laf in particular, is Panarin and Kreider are both left wings, and will not be moved to the right side to accomdate Laf. Unless he shows an ability to adjust to the RW, his playing time and linemstes may not change anytime soon.

Does that mean you include him in a deal? Probably not. But at some point, you have to wonder if it's not in his and the Rangers best interest to move on.

All of Kreider's skill comes with his back to the net. Why does he have to play LW? He hardly ever scores coming down the left wing.

In the NHL games i always play wingers on their off wings so they can one time it easily. Obviously that translates to real life so they are dumb

Issue is on the defensive zone, take the breakout to the inside is a problem for a lot of players. He's actually become pretty good at breaking out from left wing spot in the D zone.

Who would you like Barron to play with? Gauthier, Hunt, McKegg, Rooney, Gettinger, Reaves? Thats a hot list of players to really elevate your game with.
