In tonight's Action News, a group of middle age and older Flyers fans, distraught at having to watch Dave Scott's press conference, took their frustration out by beating the crap out of each other.
Used to live on Monroe St just below South and 3rd. Was a gym there, can't remember the name. Had a pool in the basement, basket ball and volleyball, think 4 floors and a sun deck. Was kind of pricey.
Cool place. I was between wives. Lived there for a year. Could walk to the water front, hang out on south st. Good times.
Edit: my old brain remembered. It was called Pennsport then. Open 24 hours. - jaws1955
yeah im right around there. not a huge city person myself but if youre off of south even by a block or two its worlds different. the waterfront is a huge draw for me.
Anybody here lift weights? I mean benchpress? Would be interested in knowing people's max/reps and so on. No lying. No exaggerating. - PT21
this means a lot of very different things to very different folks in my experience. im in okay enough shape for a youngish office type worker who drinks like a fish. i fully admit my main workout motivation is to not die at 43 and/or look like a complete slob for the opposite sex. the dudes that full on bodybuild, good lord.
even when i was at my most into it, its a regular occurrence to find someone twice your age who just casually throws around your max as a light warm up. absolute monsters. funny thing is, theyre usually the nicest dudes in the joint. always happy to lend anyone a hand or show/spot etc.

That's a different league. An industry in itself.
I was never a body builder, never much good at athletic coordination. But I do have strength. The kids I teach are always surprised when I show up at the gym.

Totally agree...nothing to be gained by disrespecting him if he refuses to be traded. Like him or not he has been a very good player here for 10+ yrs ( and I am one who is not a real big fan of his) - hfc355
exactly. what player would ever want to sign here if we are so flippant with our franchise players?

My boos at the time owned the house. He lived on LBI. Place was empty. 1 block below South, between 2nd and 3rd. Great place to be single for the year between wives. The single part only lasted 6 months. It was great. We'd hang out on weekend see who was performing in Camden, get last minute tickets, take the ferry. Didn't move the car for days.
