Just an ordinary day on hockey buzz - wcorvette
There are no more "facts" to be determined/discussed, except amongst the clueless and those who cannot face the female dog slap of logic. The persistent predicament of the club is predetermined.
1. The odds against pursuing any strategy except full rebuild leading to cup success is huge, and a fool's game. (Such fools proliferate here, but that does not change anything).
2. The commercial inclinations and incentives of the owners and nature of fanbase make the above impossible.
3. Summary: likely there will be shades of mediocrity for the indefinite future. Most prospects will be middle of lineup guys.
4. The only silver lining, if you can call it that, is while cynically crafting a strategy of playoff relevance, the franchise has overplayed its hand and ended up with large sub-performing contracts it cannot move, except for like, and thus, is forced to do the full rebuild it avoided doing deliberately. Such as this season.
5. The franchise however will desperately, and I mean desperately, try to avoid #4, for the same reason they tried to avoid #1. As such, in the next few years, prepare for a Bobby Clarke turn of the century paradigm of good-but-not-good-enough-stars trundling through here while disbelievingly smirking at the price they will get.
6. Minor details: CF will stay (e5), Giroux will go (e4), and Risto will stay (e4).
im a huge fan of doing the bulk of your pressing with dumbells. the range of motion and freedom to ease some pressure on your wrists and shoulders is great. you can still get a hell of a workout in with them and an adjustable bench.
machines are weird. i swear so many are calibrated differently than their counterparts elsewhere - stayinthefnnet
Its fine: as a compound exercise that is time saving. But not as good in the aggregate as isolating muscle groups and training them individually.
Wow, now people are arguing as to whether you should have a car in the city or not. This city needs a winning hockey team in the worst way!! I don't live in the city thank God, but when I travel to center city it's always public transportation. No way I'm trying to park a car in that mess! Thankfully it's rare that I need to go in town and I sure as hell ain't going to a Flyers game anytime soon(although we drive to those)! - Phillywhiteout
Except for the North East, you don't really need a car in Philly pre-Covid (Covid makes public transport more hazardous). Problem is, we Americans are so allergic to walking 10 blocks to a subway stop/bus stop. Biking is another option but it is also hazardous because people are just not used to it and you could end up getting into a serious accident.

There you go everyone. There is nothing else left to discuss. PT21 has declared that and if you disagree with his opinion, you are a fool. He has declared it as such.

Yea, that's it. Americans are allergic to walking. They should go food shopping and walk 10 blocks to the subway in the freezing cold or even better, ride a bike with their groceries for the week for those who like to do their own shopping.
Didn't come close to the epic train wreck of Lavendah Panduh. - MJL

I actually wish he'd go back to only posting under that account, and only using the phony writing style in that lame attempt to look like a fuzzy little foreigner.
She reminds me of Gabriella Sabatini (without the muscles). - PT21
I guess there's a bit of a resemblance. Obviously the hair. (The girl in the video had hers slicked with vaseline for the wet look the director wanted.) And the brown eyes. Both are lovely Florida lasses and are still very pretty.

There was more of a resemblance when they were young it seems to me.
Sabatini is an Argentine through and through. She was, iirc correctly, the first sex symbol of women's tennis? Before her was Chrissie Evert, but she was more of a heartthrob than sex symbol. Along with Sabatini, around the same time I think, there was Carling Basset from Canada. She married Seguso, the doubles specialist.
Until Sharapova came along, most of these women sex symbols underachieved relative to expectations (Kournikova comes to mind).
Sabatini has lived in South Florida for many years. Thus she's a lovely Florida lass, now and forevermore. - Bendecko
People like her, who not only gain entry to the jet set but also relish it (unlike say Steffi Graf), don't live in any one place. They maintain residences across continents and shuttle. Half the world's rich "lives in Florida."
In particular, Gaby lives in Zurich most of the year, according to Google-Fu. Less frequently, also in Boca Raton and Buenos Aires.

Regardless, that still makes her a lovely Florida lass (now and forevermore).
Lots of Greek Americans in Tarpon Springs likely liking that. Perhaps not as ersatz as you believed after all. - Bendecko
Guy had nothing to do with Florida, but has (umm sleeping gown? Kaftan?) in Florida style tropical colors and is thus a Florida lad forever and ever. So I believe it.
No mention of Greek Kitsch and the love of expats for their patrida is complete without their Nana:

If a Floridian likes the guy's music, that means he had something to do with Florida.
