Giroux isn’t Bobby Clarke but if Giroux brought us a Cup, he’d be the second coming. Giroux is a player this organization isn’t going to disrespect or “play hardball” with. - SuperSchennBros
He's the closest thing to Bobby Clarke they've had. |

Iafallo's stick clearly pushed Sanheim's right skate out. The tell tale sign is Sanheim falling down on all fours clearly indicating he was thrown off balance. Defenseman don't go down on all fours to block shots normally. It's putting your face right in the shooting lane. - MJL
what seems true is that Sanheim is heading forward, bracing for a play and that the contact from behind helped send Sanheim to the ice. All that said Sanheim based upon his forward momentum wasn't making a play on goal scorer.

Kinda beating a dead horse at this point, but Iafallo's stick was behind Sanheim, not in his legs. And Sanheim looked like he was trying for one of these, albeit a goofier version:

Fun fact, forget what year it was but they asked G who the toughest defender to go against was and his answer was Girardi. Those NYR D cores for a long stretch had a very good group but no one truly elite. We have no one elite nor a good group. Times are hard. |

If someone wants to say that Sanheim should be stronger on his skates, I may not agree but that's somewhat reasonable. It was really just to explain why Sanheim was down on the ice. Regardless the real issue is the continued confusion on the coverage. They still can't properly sort out coverages in their own end. They don't have good spacing and the passing lane to the wing shooter was wide open.

I hope he hasn't banned you from his discussions, because i want to see his response lol
Usually when you show him up, you get banned from him. I doesnt respond to me lol - bradster
I don't respond much. Just too annoying. We have several on here that may never even had a pair of skates on. Yet they are freaking experts. I'm 66. Been involved in organized hockey since the 60s. Been going to games since the 60s. Grew up in north Jersey. Went to games at the garden. Learned to play on a pond. Played high school hockey in the 60s and 70s. There were 12 teams in the state. There were only 4 rinks in the state. 2 were out door with no roof. Played in snow. Old time hockey. Chain link fences behind they net. We were 35-5 my last two seasons.
I've been a rink rat my whole life. I worked at 3 different rinks. I've made ice on 7 different ice surfaces. I've seen more live hockey than anyone on this site if I was to bet. Still have a metal plate and 5 looooong screws holding my leg together from my "retirement injury". Playing full check at 41. I've seen and done it all. Most of our "experts here have not.
Lol.. some moron was talking about "ice composition" the other day. Don't know the recipe? Here's a hint. It's WATER AND COLD!!!. Hot freaking tap water.
God it is just unbearable in here most days.

The replay on NHL.com clearly showed Iafallo's stick push Sanheim's right skate out after Iafallo's hit his left skate, initially throwing him off balance.

Give it a rest, he tried to block the shot in the slot. It’s clear as day. Why is this still going on |

That play was not about how strong he is on skates, it was just the play he chose to make. Coverage is an issue for the Flyers. All games will have around 5 goals scored, the truth is there will be blown coverage in all games, it is just the game and how fast it is played. The trick is to do it less than other teams, especially against the top talent of other teams, LOL |

You wasted all that time typing that down and basically said nothing. Just pumping out your chest. Your credentials don't matter. Fake or real. I'm here every day. Challenge me all you want. At least attempt to have an adult conversation. You have no clue what my experience level of the game is. Good luck to you. - MJL
Ok, mine is actual. What is your experience. I've gone into even more detail. You want me to provide press clipping, pay stubs and bank statement. You my friend are the one posting on here all day every day, pumping up your chest.
You ARE entitled to your OPINION as am I. Yours as far as I've seen is an unqualified opinion with no direct experience to back it up. If I'm wrong about this I apologize. If not, you have become as big a dolt as PT21, running your mouth with no actual EXPERIENCE to give them any sort of proper context. However, mine is backed up by a LIFETIME of personal experience of watching, coaching and playing hockey. Lets not leave out 20 years as a ref. Went to my first NHL game in 1965. Been in and around hockey my whole life. Please, go ahead. Post your experience with the game of hockey. Other than watching video, reading stats and criticism of people with actual experience a KNOWLEDGE! |

Dave Poulin was a solid player and captain but how are his 8 years on the Flyers with six being as captain close to what Giroux has done?

Lol, have a buddy that went to a different school. He played field hockey. He had to wear the "uniform" which was a skirt. I still give him poop for it.
I also used to work with a guy that told me he plays hockey. That's before I stopped. Turns out it was ball hockey. He forgot that part. No Tom, you don't play hockey. Hockey ice played on ice. What you are doing is like kids soccer only for adults. |

You really only need to come on here once a month and see its the same stories day after day. Bickering about Rasmus, and Hextall, with a little sprinkle of TK and Sanheim and Chuck thrown in. Rinse and repeat.
Cant wait until the offseason.

I keep strange hours, because I don't have a schedule. So I'm usually back reading. I usually read all the posts but am too late too comment. Lately I've been skipping whole days. I thought it interesting that the presser had almost 800 comments. The game that was the best in over a month AND the first win in that time. 200. That shows the mind set. More comments female doging than positive. |

They have had 10 and 13 game losing streaks before the half way point in the season. Imagine people not being happy with that. What a spoiled bunch.
