Lol, have a buddy that went to a different school. He played field hockey. He had to wear the "uniform" which was a skirt. I still give him poop for it.
I also used to work with a guy that told me he plays hockey. That's before I stopped. Turns out it was ball hockey. He forgot that part. No Tom, you don't play hockey. Hockey ice played on ice. What you are doing is like kids soccer only for adults.

What? Ball hockey is great. Its still the same sport. It is just not played on ice which makes it 100% more affordable and can be played all year round. Even without ice its played the same way, same strategies are used. The biggest difference is it takes a lot more cardio. I also find it a lot harder to deke on feet rather than skates.

They have had 10 and 13 game losing streaks before the half way point in the season. Imagine people not being happy with that. What a spoiled bunch.

I always try and remain calm and fair but when a team has two losing streaks of 10 and 13 , when that same team is beset by injuries to key players, when the long standing teams captain is on the downside of his career most likely being moved how could you not be frustrated by this team, this year?

Fine, I've actually played several years in a ball hockey tournament in Leominster, MA. Great time. Actually got to use some of my Judo throws in a couple of scrums. But it's not hockey. It's BALL hockey. Everybody in the world can run. A select few can skate well enough to play hockey on a percentage basis.
Interesting story. I've worked at rinks. Had hockey and figure skating programs. On holidays we would close early, break out the Capt and coke and start playing. We had some AMAZING figure skaters as instructors. But put a stick in their hands and ask them to chase a puck around. Looked like they had never been on skates. They could perform flawless routines. But if it wasn't a routine they couldn't just react. Put things into perspective.

Everyone can play Ice hockey too. You dont need to be able to skate well to play. If you suck, you are still playing. Everyone can play many other sports like Football that doesnt make it any less of a sport if you dont play on a regulation field. If you play football at a public park its still called playing Football

How do you quantify who is a better Captain? A lot of things a fan would not be privy to. It's not just as simple as taking the best player and making him Captain.

A fan would have no way of knowing what players are good Captains, because a ton that goes into being a Captain is done off the ice.
