He should have played this season for Van but I would guess that Seattle would have picked him instead.

Best player in Liiga this year.

Van owns his rights till he is 27 years old.

The play of the entire D is much better this year, and in turn so is Myers most of the time. A true Chaos Giraffe. He's still my least favourite defender, so if he's improved his play enough that some team would give us an asset to take on that contract and get us out of it, I'm all for it.

I wouldn't say better. Different rink dimensions make for a different style game.

Yeah, I would argue they provide essentially the same value to the team. They are both overpaid, but Myers is overpaid by less, shockingly.

Couldnt disagree more. Theres lots of NHL talent in the A, that's the entire purpose of the league is to develop. Lliiga is one of mamy leagues for guys who cant make the show.

I think OEL is a better player and defender than Myers, but both are a far cry from their contract.

The only reason I'm not suggesting to trade OEL is because no one would take him on without us paying. Myers is the more manageable contract to con off on a desperate/dumb GM....
