How do you feel about a Petey Horvat Boeser first line with Hoglander Lammikko Podkolzin second line?

After moving Garland and Miller it becomes your second line and yes I did catch your pun
The teams trading for our players are not going to be sending back top 6 forwards. You just don't trade top 6 forwards on a playoff team for top 6 forwards on a non playoff team. |

He'll turn 31 in year 1 of his new contract. He'll have a NTC and be here until he's 36. Pass. |

Agreed, doesn't make sense for a non-contender to sign that deal. Trade him and get younger.

100% 5 or 6 under 8m is golden. 7 is even better. |

I am all in on paying Hughes and Tanev 12 mil for 4 goals and 50 shots against like what we use to get.
- VANTEL
Would you be okay with paying 11M for 5 goals? |

Depends on the deal, would want a young Center with good upside back

I think it does make sense to resign. This team is a playoff team with him. I just don't think he does, therefor get the best deal now. |

Every 4 years and if you don't win the cup, trade everyone. Rebuild failed. |

I get all the reasoning but you also have to understand that once they are gone you are going to have a pretty sh1t product. You will be stepping back and are pretty well are starting over.
You will be left with an overpaid soft top line with very little to follow up in the roster.
Miller is not the first player I would move it would be Pearson Motte Dikie and maybe Poolman . Yes I know it is just clearing space . I just would not pay any more for Boeser this year than what he is currently making so he is the first big name I would move out.

If youāre stuck with a mediocre cap ceiling team then yes, you kinda have to blow it up and keep whichever 26 and younger players you like
Better than getting emotionally attached to mediocrity |

I get what youāre saying too, you donāt want to be left with zero top 6 centers, I think itās crucial to add at least 1 young Center with legit top 6 upside to the organizationif you do trade both Bo/Miller.
I think most fans agree that moving Boeser first is ideal. I do think heās better than what heās shown here, but heās a bad fit here and luxury piece to add to a good team instead of a true core player to re-tool with |

I could see a scenario like this happening. If the Canucks don't think the playoffs are reachable by TDL, they ask Miller if he would be interested in resigning. Miller doesn't give positive feed back on it. Canucks decide to get assets back for long term and suffer the season for the high 1st rounder they will get.
Other trades would follow. But not a tear down. |

If the Canucks were SJ maybe. Playing as well as they can and worst prospect pool in the league. |
