I think Vantel joked about trading Miller so the team can find another Miller. I'm not saying Laffy is the answer, but maybe its Boeser who gets gone and Miller re-signs.

I don't know. Too bad you couldn't add to this core + Miller but I think the pay scale is too wacked and they have to get it under control. Boeser might be the first victim.

Trade Miller now for serious assets then sign him on the cheap in 1.5 years when he busts out on another club...

I think there is room for a player like Boeser if the roster was better balanced in skill sets and contract values. But he's got leverage on his next deal so if he wants to get paid I don't think you can fit him in under the current cap limit. I agree his skills are a bit one dimensional but the dimension he does have is much needed on this goal starved team.

Edit - say $6M four years.

Boeser is an excellent pick you don't squander. He'll bounce back. Patience. Other ways to bolster the teams lineup without having to trade Boeser Petey Hughes and Demko and start fresh lol

Bystedt would be a nice addition to the prospect pool.

Trade anyone else of value, i think thats why Miller and Garland get mentooned here everyday. If they can drop myers or oel without retaining id be into that too. I dont hate oel, but way too expemsive.

Canucks would just need a 2nd rounder to get him.

He can certainly play the game but he’s just not a good human being. Guys have character flaws, we all do, but he’s just not a good person.

There are about 6-8 players that I really like late in the 1st/early in 2nd. Bystedt is one, Bischel a 6'5 Swiss defenseman is also a player to keep an eye on.

Joe Pavelski's last 14 games:

• 10 goals
• 27 points
• 19 EVPs
• 4 shots-per-game
• 53% in the dot

He's 37 years old and is among the top-10 in league scoring.

Wild times.

I like Button's rankings right now for most.

10 and 11 are the only two that I wouldn't be that high on.

Just read an article that Bruins are high on Garland and dangling Lysell, which the Canucks have apparently scouted a bit due to being close proximity, and seem quite high on.

Fourth leading scorer from the “All World” 2003 NHL entry draft. Amazingly steady production over a very long period of time. Twelve of the first round picks played over a thousand games each, three guys from the second round played more than a thousand games as well. Amazing draft!!

Filip Zadina 13 points in 44 games. He's slightly behind Jake Virtanen's pace of 25 points in 70 games when he was 22 years old.
