Kessel has/had some bad habits but he would almost always win his team's fitness tests in camp and is a borderline hall of fame player. (Won't make it but is first ballot hall of very good) I'd also guess that beyond his bad habits, his figure may be related to the drugs/hormones he takes as a result of losing a testicle to cancer but I'm no doctor or expert so that's purely a guess.

Jeff O'Neill is in a league of his own for the most part.

I see... O'Neill's NHL numbers aren't that bad though.

So he's young Guy Fieri in that pic. Today he's the size of modern day Guy Fieri

He played in a different era and had a goal scoring touch. Talent doesn't equate to hard work and athleticism

I've eaten at a couple of Guy's restaurants...frankly I'm shocked he's able to stay as svelte as he has

Yeah he had a few years in the early 2000's where he was one of the more consistent goal scorers in the league. He was also worse than -100+ on his career

Kessel knows how to use his retained fat cells as energy sources. It's why he's so clutch in the playoffs.

Kessel has a career -137, O'Neill is -115, but I think both have played on rather weak teams, so it doesn't necessarily mean that much

He dresses exactly how I'd expect him to and so I'm accepting of his weird style. If he dressed like a normal human it would be weird almost
