I'm honestly mystified by Ducharme and his line combos. CC should be playing regular minutes, not riding the pine and playing 10 minutes a game. With Dauphin, my only guess is they've got a team that wants to see him play before pulling the trigger on a larger trade where he's an add-on.

I thought the lesson was to get completely outplayed and rely on goaltending and puck luck to win...you know...the Habs identity whenever they've won for the last decade or so

agreed, and what I'm wondering is does this mean that Gorton and Hughes are okay with this too? I know Ducharme is the coach but if management isn't satisfied with how these young players are being handled they should let him know. and right (frank)ing now. lol

Kessel has/had some bad habits but he would almost always win his team's fitness tests in camp and is a borderline hall of fame player. (Won't make it but is first ballot hall of very good) I'd also guess that beyond his bad habits, his figure may be related to the drugs/hormones he takes as a result of losing a testicle to cancer but I'm no doctor or expert so that's purely a guess.

Jeff O'Neill is in a league of his own for the most part.
