perhaps it has to do with the team's org chart, and Brière's role? there are already assistants in place, and maybe Brière was given a different set of tasks....

last thing i remembered he was doing almost team ambassador stuff a few years ago. he was in flyers commercials and doing stuff with the team but i never knew what. i never even knew he had the mariners job.

well, I guess sometimes no news is good news, quietly learning the ropes, avoiding making any glaring mistakes..

the mariners used to be affiliated with the flyers but i think they're a bruins affiliate now. so he was working for all of our enemy. little (frank)er (danny, not you).

If Price doesn't come back this season, Habs will be able to add up to 6.7M at deadline.

Could be active as a 3rd team for salary retention or take on some contracts to ice an NHL roster and leave prospects in Laval (especially if they trade out some vets).

huh, interesting.

Well, I said Price's 10M, plus whatever is left from Weber + all the other guys that went on LiTR this year.... likely $12M+

Edit: They already have $6,697,646 as of today.

more edit: 6 teams with over $25M each in space; 11 total with with 14m+

definitively will have to trade players away though, they're up to 48 and need to keep 1 or 2 spots open.

well that's I'm saying, it's 6.7M just for Price, not 10M, which means there are probably specific cap rules that were applied to that.
