As a former goaltender (that's right, I have street cred!), there's alot to like about Montembault's game right now.

He moves quite well in his net, especially for a guy that's 6"3, seems always in the right position and he's controlling his rebounds better than he did early on.

He's been excellent for a while now, I'm not declaring him our next starter since he would need to prove he can do this on a regular basis in a whole season but it's alot to be happy about for someone we picked up as a panic move when the season started.

Reminds me of "The Monster, "Soup," "Optimus Reim" and all the other poopholes who could play well for 6 weeks and then sucked ass and everybody defended them as if they were Hasek in a 5 game slump.
