As a former goaltender (that's right, I have street cred!), there's alot to like about Montembault's game right now.

He moves quite well in his net, especially for a guy that's 6"3, seems always in the right position and he's controlling his rebounds better than he did early on.

He's been excellent for a while now, I'm not declaring him our next starter since he would need to prove he can do this on a regular basis in a whole season but it's alot to be happy about for someone we picked up as a panic move when the season started.

especially with a Habs team not winning anytime soon.
I doubt they'll be able to trade Allen this tdl, but maybe this summer (assuming Price returns). if Price retires, keep both Allen and Montembeault for next year, and trade Allen at the tdl next year.

oh never thought he would. he was pretty clear he wants to play again, and that in case of a set back he would try again and again. but maybe this summer...
