From Friedman:
5. I can see Philadelphia in on Jeff Petry. It makes a lot of sense for them.
6. I think Rasmus Ristolainen gets moved. He wants a playoff series. Not only do I understand the desire to finally get a chance after almost 600 games, but I could see Ristolainen thinking postseason style as beneficial for his market value.

Toffoli was on a great deal and productive.... you either rebuild or you throw big money at big name UFA, can't really do both..... I'm all for signing UFA to 1 tear deal and using them as bait next deadline day though - OB
meh, people want to keep Anderson as well
You would say not to Lindholm if he would sign here at a fair price?
Anyway, I don't expect big names to come but you do need vets in a rebuild

My opinion only but short of crazy hometown discount deals which wouldn't make sense for quality UFAs to sign in Montreal, this offseason should be one year deals to vets to fill out the roster and trade at the deadline, overpaying in some cases with the intent to retain salary when traded. That's just me though |

I still want the team to compete and be fun to watch. The thing about signing a UFA this summe is it's just money, no assets.
Anyway will see. I get where you are coming from but some of our prospects are not ready to make the jump anyway. |

That's never stopped anybody before and I use a phone which makes PMs a nightmare...simply put my point is saying it would be different under Trump is rightwing radio talk from people trying to score political points. Same reason right wing media is pushing the "who even cares about Ukraine" (Trump actually called it the Ukraine - the Russian term that Ukraine rejects) and "Putin is right to do this, it's NATO's fault for pushing to Russia's borders" blah blah. There is a lot more behind everybody's opinions than truth or facts in this.
Also that invitation to join NATO was after the annexation of Crimea so the tough on Russia stuff doesn't really fly either. It was a soft ass olive branch as a reward for bad behaviour.
Obama was awful. Trump was awful, Biden has been and will continue to be awful. My opinions only |

And Lindholm just turned 28.... I was more referring to Giroux, Bergeron and Letang (and others from that age group) |

It's an incredibly flawed organization but until it no longer exists, it does and treaties need to mean something or else the world devolves into chaos...more so |

Sure, unless you give a one year deal to a guy like Giordano if he can still play (then trade him at tdl)
We saw that Primeau is not ready and I don't see any habs propsects being top 4 d soon. How long can you have a dolphin as your 2C? |
