Because it's always better to listen to the source than read some dimwit's interpretation. And asking for a summary is the height of laziness.

By the way, there is a way to give Brassard a chance to show he can stay healthy and remain in the lineup: As with Frost, Brassard is capable of playing wing, too. It needn't be an either/or proposition, especially in the short term.

But metric wise, Risto has 823 chances against this season, which ranks him 3rd out the top 4 defenseman on the team. Sanheim is #1 at 934 chances against, Provorov is #2 at 874 chances against and Braun is #4 at 804 chances against. Its funny how you don't mention this in your posts, that Sanheim and Provorov, both drafted by Hextall, have more chances against than Risto. Hmmmm

I did comment several times already on Frost and his development. I love Bill but I simply don't agree with him.

Funny how you leave out ice time and games played and how that would have a major effect on that stat. Sanheim has also played 5 more games than Risto.

When you average those stats out per game Braun is BY far giving up the least amount of chances per game.

Provy giving up less chances per game in 5 more minutes of ice time.

Sanheim giving up less than 1 chance more per game in a minute and a half more ice time per game.

Risto sucks. There is NO debate on that FACT.

Showing a fundamental lack of understanding of simple scoring chances against stats. Provorov has played almost a 100 more minutes at ES than Ristolainen has.

SCA/60

Braun 28.14
Sanheim 28.77
Provorov 28.79
Seeler 30.46
Ristolainen 31.18
Yandle 32,53

You want to avoid commenting on what Bill wrote because you know that you're wrong. Your just hopelessly hanging onto a bad argument. You've got yourself so deep and so invested that you can't break off. Don't worry though, in the near future you will be changing your tune and claiming that you knew it all along.

Risto is a top 4 guy that he's been hurt badly by the team's poor play, especially with the way they break out of their zone. Strong forwards are too high and no options in the center of the zone.
- jd250

Just like he was hurt badly in Buffalo. He has nothing to do with the poor play. The teams best defenseman and one of the best in the league being dragged down.

I have not avoided commenting on Frost, I have posted several long posts on the topic. I have my opinion, you have yours, Bill has his. I do think Frost should be playing on the 1st PP unit, but 5 on 5, he should stay where he is until he demonstrates he is the best player on that line, and right now he isn't.

You've avoided it on this thread and have not responded to what Bill wrote. We both know why.

With the Flyers luck they’re playing a very dangerous game.

I personally wouldn’t wait til the 11th hour on it. Tell teams you have until x and then a deal is being made. G is probably the best forward on the market for these teams so I can’t imagine Chuck is going to get better offers the longer he waits.

I would prioritize Frost’s development over a lot of options. For example, I think it would be fine to sit MacEwen a game.

And because I would die on this hill, the D…notice the most important aspect is the 1st and 3rd pairings. I don’t know why York isn’t up, but if Seeler gets a draft pick I will live with it.

He holds the cards and probably told them he’s open to move but wants 1,000 in orange in black

He waived a while ago imo. That interview he did with Taryn a week or two ago he was saying how anxious he’s been about it. He knows a trade is coming.

They cant. His deadline cap hit is still too high. He wont be dealt until closer to the tdl. Giroux also doesnt want to spend more time away from his family than he needs to. Hes going to wait as long as he can. Hes probably around long enough to play hos 1000 game as a flyer

This is the first I’m hearing about a mid season change in cap hit. When does that happen?

Rumors of a big Risto offer coming at the same time as rumors of a Petry trade under contract for about the same amount AAV but 35 this year…it equals heartburn.

CC will not be moved until he hits 1000 games. Then he will get all sentimental and say he doesn't want to be traded.
