Yep, gonna leave a big hole in the top 4 for a year or two if hes moved, basically until Luke solidifies himself. Probably would try to get a young D back in the move i'd assume. But would definitely need to try to bridge the gap with someone like a De Haan or Pysyk in free agency though.

Really excited for another Ben Lovejoy or David Schlemko to be in our top 4.

Moving Severson is the right thing to do. We can finish in the bottom 10 without him. Hopefully we get a nice haul that lines up with this team time horizon. Fitz can make trades like Siegs and Graves to replace Sevo and in the long run all of this makes us a better team. Further Naz's system is gone after this season, surely a defensive bonus.

To add onto this, Seravalli has now added Severson onto his top 35 trade bait board today. So seems like there's some smoke out there surrounding him. He says that teams view him as a No. 2 D, and there's a lot of value in him right now.

Walsh may be ready and can slot into the third pairing RHD. Bahl needs another year. There are plenty of UFA Dmen right now. Some may sign before the TDL, but there are stopgap Dmen until the prospects arrive, IMHO.

De Haan and Pysyk are the 2 guys I'd target as stop gaps. Essentially Kulikov-esq signings
