The rangers cap space is for this year to go all in if they choose. They can’t extend Lindy |

It’s been widely reported that Toronto is on Mansons no trade list. And he hasn’t exactly played all that well this year. Might want to ask your source about that one again…
Friedman reported on this over a month ago. |

I could really see Hampus Lindholm in Philly. He's a very dependable Defenseman. He'll bring alot of stability to a team that has problems defending. Be a huge upgrade over Ristolinan. But resigning Lindholm won't be easy. |

LeBrun says they are trying hard to re-sign him. But if he doesn’t sign soon they will move him and likely re-sign Manson. I bet they find a way to keep Lindy and move Manson. |

I don't think the Leafs go after Gio. He was not even the best d for the Kraken out there last night and struggled some. Add in that word is Francis wants a 1st rd pick for him and I don't think that is happening. Not unless Francis is going to eat some of his salary. Francis seems to be doing exactly as he did with the expansion draft and expecting a haul, when reality is if he got a 2nd for Gio it would be a win. The Kraken need the picks, and the GM may want to hit a home run but I don't think Gio is going to get that for him. He was a -1 and took a couple bad penalties last night and looked slow. |

Any GM who gives MTL more than a 3rd for Chiarot should be fired on the spot. |

I feel I've heard this one before.
Toronto needs gritty leadership for a playoff run.
Tavares (off season snake acquisition-not gritty)
Nick Foligno....gritty....wrong usage silly pick up.
No, TO needs a big stay at home defenseman. Nothing flashy.
Figure it out Dubas.

The Flames are laying in the weeds, but he is such a perfect fit and the Flames are afraid to mess with chemistry...
Second time in 3 days that something which was specifically mentioned on the last 32 Thoughts podcast - and nowhere else - was reported here. Actually Friedge speculated that he thought they probably should be wary of messing with their chemistry but, hey, a little is bound to get altered in any game of telephone. |

Dubas already did picking up Boosh. Young big and physical stay at home. Not saying they couldn't use a bit more and another similar type though.

Deadline logic is different than logic any other time of the year. MTL will get a 1st or multiple lower picks/prospect package. Watch. |

What? The Gio to Calgary speculation has been mentioned ad nauseam pretty much everywhere for the past few months. Every discussion about the Flames deadline deals has included whether or not Gio makes sense and would he be a distraction. He even gave his agent the go-ahead to publically say he'd be up for a trade back to the Flames. |

I'm not talking about the Gio to Calgary part, that's occurred to everyone. I'm talking about the 'Calgary is worried about messing up their team chemistry' part. No one to my knowledge has talked about that except for Friedge on his podcast a couple days ago, right after he spoke about Giroux to Florida - reported here a few hours after that pod came out. |

That's been the entire conversation. It's not a scoop for anyone to just say the most obvious aspect of bringing back Giordano. |

It's hard to know Lindholm's value. Only because every team has different needs. A team that really needs a good defensive dman might give Lindholm 8 million x 7 years. But for the Ducks It's different. Lindholm is a big piece. But since we are rebuilding, he's not a player we couldn't replace over time. So the Ducks might only go 7 million x 6 years. But a team like the Flyers who could use him. 8 million a year would be a decent price for the how much better he could make the Flyers. |
