Think Fleury would go back to Vegas??? Chicago would be able to make them pay!
- MacPatty

Friedman reported fleury wouldn’t mind coming back to Pitt. Maybe off season signing?

It's amazing to me because Pagnotta is legit, yet the rest of that outfit is a bunch nimrods.
- Rinosaur

You realize Pagnotta's TheFourthPeriod and HockeyNow are not the same thing, right?

Bringing MAF back to Pittsburgh would be a mistake IMO. The minute Jarry has a rough few games, the idiot fan base would be chanting "Fleury". I like MAF, but I wouldn't do it.

Kingerski is HockeyNow. That's why he brought it up.

I don't think so, Fleury would just be an awesome backup that could play 30 games

I know a lot of people don’t want Boeser but I really think this could be the highest end offensive player we can reasonably afford if Rutherford is deadset on dumping him for a second pairing d man he overvalues, and if that’s the case we’d be fools to not make that deal.
- Victoro311

I agree with this.

If the Pens could bring in Fleury for $2M less for a year or two I'd totally do that.

He would definitely be expensive but I think Montreal is intent on moving him as it sounds like there are some issues there and I heard his family has already moved back to Michigan waiting on something to happen.

I could see us get a good deal on him if Hughes thinks he can convince Letang to sign in the offseason for a huge deal. Having Petry at $6.25 would make it harder to match a $9M offer for Letang.

If you throw Pettersson, Poulin and a 1st out does he bite? Not sure?

- MacPatty

If I was Letang I would take 8-8.5 million to be on a good team. Then 9 million for a team with a lot of question marks and who are trending down.

I think there's definitely a play for your home town /childhood team, perhaps even be captain of them, factor at play here... Not to mention the money... However, witb regards to the money, he will be taxed around 50% there... So 9 mill = 4.5 mill...

I just looked, federally he'd pay 33% and provincialy he'd pay 25.75%....so his combined annual tax rate would be 58.75%... Thats insane. Quebec might be highest taxing province.

Yeah. It’s retardedly expensive to live here. Utilities, phone/internet, food, gas. Significantly more expensive than the US. After his income tax there is another 15% tax on everything you buy in Quebec too.

The name for it is graduated income tax. The US employs this system also. Pennsylvania has a straight tax, 3.07%.

Yeah sales tax is 15% here in Newfoundland as well. Insane. Not everything has it tacked on, most groceries don't have tax. Healthy ones, anyway.
