Well now I know the term.

Like $2.5M. Under $3M, for sure

I'm good with the Parise signing, as I had stated I wanted him back. Clutter on the other hand is baffling. At nearly 35 Cal stopped being effective a couple of years ago IMO. His most redeeming quality at this stage is he's a so-so agitator who is a pk player and beloved personality in the lockerroom guy. I'd much rather bring a younger faster guy into that role .

My gut is the Isles gave Clutter a couple of options for trades to desired contenders and if they didn't work out they would resign him now as opposed to waiting until the offseason. Probably the same for Parise

Oh well, it's Lou's world, I'm just living in it

Good might be a stretch, but it's fine and it shouldn't hurt their chances to do some real business this summer. Don't love it, don't hate it.

Lamoriello: "We're not going to get better by just adding players. We're going to get better by making hockey trades. That's the conversation we've been having the last few days."

Intruiging comment there. Makes you wonder who those conversations involved. With Zach and Clutter back and most of the team locked up through next year, Wahlstrom or Bellows appear to be oddmen out

Holy crap I was right for once. Now let's hope Chara and Greene have had enough.

That would be excellent if he just traded both of them and turned it into a 35 yr old or older player on the downside of their career. 🤞

All in all this makes perfect sense. The islanders weren’t going to get much for these players so just let them hang around for the rest of the year. As for parisie I am happy since he was one of the only players who played with heart this year. I do believe raty will make this team next year and some trades will go down. Lou is all quiet and then bang he makes a blockbuster trade. So patience my friends. This year is lost

OMG, not Wahlstrom, I mean him and Barzal have been tearing it up since being put together.

Heh...well we'll see how it pans out. I do have a feeling one of them won't be here by next season and we're not exactly brimming with young forward talent

agree, even with them

Time will tell. I think there will be a couple tweaks made this off season.
