Clang and a 2nd is an OK pickup for a rental on Rakell. Ducks are a little thin organizationally in goal, and Clang possibly adds some G depth a couple years out. Would have preferred a first, but this is more realistic given Rakell's performance the past couple years. The other guys were moved to balance the cap hit on the deal, and both are on expiring contracts. Good luck to Raks in Pittsburgh. |

Ducks move out guys for picks and etc. And then get a guy back who can still play. This is a win IMO. Lindholm though. Thats still an L for me. Even with the contract he signed. |

Yeah at 730 est it went through lol
I do like the deal. One thing about rebuilds not talked enough is having NHL guys able to play every night and taking the focus off the kids. |

As far as I know the Dadonov trade has not gone through.
He had Anaheim on his 10 Team no trade list. Knights tried to get around it by saying that they never saw the list. The list came with Dadonov when he got moved to Vegas from Ottawa last July. They tried to put it on Dadonov, but how can it be up to the player to present the list - it is up to the Teams involved. They knew (everybody knew) that he had a no trade list - it is up to them to look at it before trading him.
It is ridiculous if this trade goes through - Vegas breaking the rules to try to get themselves out of a self made salary cap mess. God, I am really beginning to hate that team! The Player's Association should get involved with this.
All of the details that I gave above were from NHL Insider Frank Seravalli this morning on The Fan 960 Sports Radio |

Vegas is turning into a hack organization. Within a half-hour last night they went from denying there was a no-trade list to blaming Dadanov's agent for hiding the list to Ottawa for not disclosing the no-trade list to Vegas. The no-trade IS INCLUDED IN HIS CONTRACT, which McCrimmon has a copy of.

I thought TSN reported the league doesn't have a copy of it on file and that's why the league approved the trade.
The PA is investigating further.
This sucks for Dadanov and right behind him are the Ducks. I would believe they would deal in good faith and this should fall completely on the shoulders of Vegas.

Dadonov is screwed either way. He stays with a team that wanted to trade him or he goes to a team he explicitly said (in this 10 team not trade) he didn't want to got to (and he pays an additional $600k in taxes). This is all on Vegas no matter who they want to blame. |
